From April 1-2, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Pittsburgh Spring Junior Challenge. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of three divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, and Girls 14-18 Division.
The Boys 16-18 division only played 27 holes this past weekend, playing only 9 holes on Saturday. Neil Joon from Pittsburgh, PA was the first-place finisher this weekend. Joon brought in scores of 40 and 72 for a combined total of 112 for the weekend. Zachary Ross from Moon Township, PA was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 36 and 77 for a combined total of 113. Joseph Boon from North Chili, NY finished the top three honors with scores of 42 and 74 for a weekend total of 116.
Matthew Mueller from Gibsonia, PA was the first-place finisher this weekend. Mueller brought in scores of 78 and 77 for a combined total of 155 for the weekend. David DiGregory from Pittsburgh, PA was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 87 and 73 for a combined total of 160. Connor Laird from Fairview, PA finished the top three honors with scores of 91 and 82 for a weekend total of 173.
Madison Koshko from State College, PA was the first-place finisher this weekend. Koshko brought in scores of 81 and 78 for a combined total of 159 for the weekend. Natasha Korman from Burlington, Canada was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 83 and 78 for a combined total of 161. Olivia Aronholt from Powell, OH finished the top three honors with scores of 85 and 82 for a weekend total of 167.
