From May 4-5, 2024, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Pittsburgh Junior Open. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of three divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, and the Girls14-18 Division.
Jack Sacriponte from Greensburg, PA, and Aidan Fulkroad from Elizabethville, PA, tied for first place with an impressive total of 148 strokes each. Sacriponte shot rounds of 76 and 72, while Fulkroad posted scores of 77 and 71. Bobby Kieber Jr. from Newark, OH, secured third place with a total of 149 strokes, shooting rounds of 77 and 72.
Henry Manciu, representing Canonsburg, PA, took the lead with a total of 153 strokes, securing first place after rounds of 80 and 73. Sam Schneck from Gibsonia, PA, secured second place with a total score of 162 strokes, posting rounds of 85 and 77. Jacob Schroeder from Arcadia, OH, secured third place with a total of 164 strokes, after rounds of 87 and 77.
Emily Rensch, hailing from Chambersburg, PA, secured the top spot with a total of 151 strokes, claiming first place after rounds of 78 and 73. Pearl Lundgren from Moon Twp, PA, secured second place with a total score of 161 strokes, posting rounds of 82 and 79. JoJo Jaskulski from Washington, PA, and Siena Smith from Wexford, PA, tied for third place with a total of 164 strokes each. Jaskulski posted rounds of 87 and 77, while Smith posted rounds of 89 and 75.
