Phoenix, AZ – January 7, 2025 – The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour proudly hosted the Phoenix New Years Open at Papago this past weekend, January 2-3, 2025, at the Papago Golf Course in Phoenix, AZ. The 36-hole tournament featured an impressive field of talented junior golfers competing across four divisions: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 12-13, Boys 10-11, and Girls 14-18.
Collin Ramos from Blaine, MN was the first place finisher for the weekend. Ramos finished the weekend with impressive scores of 71 and 70 for a weekend total of 141 strokes. Cade Shorty Sherwood from Gilbert, Z
Lyoto Bellon from St. Louis, MO was the first place finisher this weekend. Bellon brought in impressive scores of 71 both days for a weekend total of 142 strokes. Luke Duval from Scottsdale, AZ was the runner up this weekend. Duval finished the weekend with scores for 70 an d73 for a weekend total of 143 strokes. Rounding out the top three honors was David Vanden Branden from Oro Valley, AZ. Vanden Branden brought in scores of 76 and 69 for a combined total of 145 strokes.
Phoenix Button from Chandler, AZ was the first place finisher for the weekend. Button brought in scores of 75 and 76 for a weekend total of 151 strokes. John Boulware from Fairway, KS and Jack Brenning from Fountain Hills, AZ tied this weekend for the runner up honors. Both Boulware and Brenning finished with scores of 77 on day 1 and 78 on day 2 for a weekend total of 155 strokes.
Joey Morin from Gilbert, AZ was the first place finisher for the weekend. Morin brought in scores of 76 and 70 for a weekend total of 146 strokes. Graham Brenning from Fountain Hills, AZ took home the runner up honors with scores of 80 and 75 for a weekend total of 155 strokes. Rounding out the top three honors was Jameson Ross from Castle Rock, CO. Ross finished the weekend with scores of 87 an d75 for a weekend total of 162 strokes.
Paige Treherne from Liberty Township, OH was the first place finisher for the weekend. Treherne finished the weekend with scores of 77 and 75 for a weekend total of 152 strokes. Emmy Inderieden from Edina, MN took home the runner up title. Inderieden brought in scores of 83 and 76 for a weekend total of 159 strokes. Kaitlyn Burstad from Blaine, MN rounded out the top three honors with scores of 87 and 75 for a weekend total of 162 strokes.
