The Southwest Florida Junior Open brought together a world-class field of young golfers from across the globe for two days of elite competition at Heritage Harbour Golf Resort in Bradenton, FL. Hosted by the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT), the event featured players representing more than a dozen countries—all battling the Florida heat, swirling coastal winds, and the championship-caliber layout that defines Heritage Harbour.
The tournament produced remarkable performances and dramatic finishes across every division. In the Boys 16–18 Division, Jackson Diaz of Seminole, FL, stole the show with a sensational final-round 67 (-4) to surge from behind and claim the title at 147 (+5). His comeback win was one of the highlights of the HJGT fall season.
The Boys 14–15 Division came down to a fierce international battle, as Julian Bugara of Prospect Heights, IL, held off Canada’s Aaron Che by a single stroke with rounds of 72–74 (146, +4) to earn his first HJGT championship.
In the Boys 12–13 Division, Chi San Allen Huang of Bradenton, FL, delivered a dominant performance—posting rounds of 72–67 (-3 total) to win by nine strokes. His closing 67 stood as the lowest score across the entire event, showcasing one of the tour’s brightest young talents.
Mack Wong of St. Petersburg, FL, captured the Boys 10–11 Division crown with rounds of 79–81 (160, +18), displaying exceptional consistency and composure to stay ahead of the field.
On the girls’ side, Veronika Niklin of Staten Island, NY, battled back on Sunday with a clutch 73 (+2) to take home the Girls 14–18 Division title by one shot over Ana Hernandez of Doral, FL. The pair’s head-to-head duel highlighted the competitive intensity that defines the HJGT.
Rounding out the weekend, Abigail VanAntwerp of Lakewood Ranch, FL, turned in an outstanding performance in the Girls U13 Division, shooting 84–77 (161, +19) to capture the title in front of a home-state crowd.

The TPC Deer Run Junior Open delivered an unforgettable weekend of competition as junior golfers from across the country descended upon the storied TPC at Deere Run, a course known for its championship pedigree and demanding layout. Across two days of play, shifting autumn winds, slick greens, and narrow fairways tested every facet of the players’ games — rewarding patience, precision, and mental toughness.
In the Boys 16–18 Division, Brennan Weckwerth of Rochester, Minnesota, emerged as the standout performer, claiming the title with a two-day total of +8 (70–80–150). Weckwerth opened with an impressive 70, setting the pace early and holding off a talented field despite a challenging second round. Rowan Banning of Leawood, Kansas, finished close behind at +12 (76–78–154), showcasing consistency throughout the weekend. Rounding out the top three was Grant Hickman of Elmhurst, Illinois, who carded +14 (79–77–156) with a strong finish to secure his place among the event’s best.
In the Boys 14–15 Division, Oliver Theel of Lakeville, Minnesota, delivered a composed performance en route to victory, finishing at +14 (77–79–156). Theel’s ability to stay steady under pressure proved key on a weekend where scoring came at a premium. Mitchell Shroyer of Middleton, Wisconsin, placed second at +17 (81–78–159), while Julian Bugara of Prospect Heights, Illinois, took third at +21 (84–79–163). The Boys 12–13 Division saw Cameron Nevara of Belvidere, Illinois, capture his first HJGT title with a two-day total of +39 (91–90–181). On a course that challenged even the most experienced competitors, Nevara maintained his focus and composure, showing grit and perseverance that reflected the spirit of the tour’s younger competitors.
Rounding out the weekend, the Girls 14–18 Division featured a hard-fought win by Gabriella Stephens of Volo, Illinois, who finished at +39 (87–94–181). Despite blustery conditions and a demanding setup, Stephens showcased impressive determination, handling the pressure of championship golf with a confident and composed approach from start to finish.

The New Jersey Fall Junior Open at LBI National Golf & Resort delivered a thrilling finale to the Garden State’s HJGT season, as players battled coastal winds, firm greens, and the pressure of closing out the fall schedule on one of New Jersey’s most scenic courses. Across all divisions, the weekend was defined by poise, grit, and standout performances from the region’s rising stars.
In the Boys 16–18 Division, Tyler Whitney of Cherry Hill, New Jersey, rose above a competitive field to capture the title with a steady +4 total (74–74–148). His balanced play across both rounds—marked by consistency off the tee and precise short game control—proved decisive as he fended off a deep group of contenders. PJ Foley of Northfield, NJ, posted +8 (73–79–152) to take runner-up honors, while Franklin Matichak of Collegeville, PA, secured third at +10 (74–80–154).
The Boys 14–15 Division saw Rayan Shah of Newtown, PA, showcase both skill and composure en route to victory at +21 (81–84–165). Shah’s opening round gave him breathing room that he carried through a challenging second day. The Minnesota Season Finale at Legacy, hosted by the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour, delivered a fitting conclusion to the Midwest season — a weekend defined by crisp fall air, demanding conditions, and elite competition at The Legacy Golf Course. Players from across the region and beyond battled firm fairways and quick greens in a final test of the 2025 campaign, with champions emerging through composure, consistency, and heart.
At the top of the leaderboard in the Boys 16–18 Division, Isa Khan of Saint Paul, MN, rose to the occasion and took home the title with an impressive 4-under-par total of 140 (67–73). Khan’s poise off the tee and precision around the greens set the standard, fending off strong challenges from Jake Palen of Eagan, MN, and Ryder Rose of Edina, MN, who both finished tied for second at -1 (143). Rose’s Sunday round of 69 was one of the tournament’s highlights, a comeback effort that nearly pushed him into a playoff.
In the Boys 14–15 Division, Christian Duren of Stillwater, MN, showcased control and consistency to post 164 (+20) for a wire-to-wire victory. Despite gusty winds and a tough second round, Duren’s early lead and ability to recover from missed opportunities gave him the edge over Ilya Khan of Saint Paul, who finished second at +25 (169).
The Girls 14–18 Division brought its own share of drama as Kennedy Kaus of Overland Park, Kansas, claimed the top spot with a steady +19 (81–82–163) performance. Kaus’ calm approach and clutch putting were key to holding off a strong final-day charge from Stella Bodensteiner and Reagan Juhl, who tied for second at +21 (165). Ella Souli of Otsego, MN, also made a statement with a brilliant 77 in the final round, one of the lowest scores in the division, securing a fourth-place finish at +24 (168).
