LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Garrett Abell delivered the top performance in the Boys 12–13 division at the College Prep Series at Louisville, carding an 8-over 80 to claim the title at the University of Louisville Golf Club. In the one-day competition, Abell’s round of 80 proved to be the best score in the division, earning him a three-shot victory. Abell’s consistent play across the round allowed him to rise to the top of the leaderboard and capture the division title at the College Prep Series event.

Stoneybrook West Golf Club
WINTER GARDEN, Fla. — Hayden Hogg built just enough separation in the opening round and then survived a tougher Sunday to win the Boys 12-13 division at the Stoneybrook Spring Break Junior Open, finishing at 11-over 155 at Stoneybrook West Golf Club. Hogg opened the tournament with a 1-over 73, the low round of the division, and that proved to be the difference. He came back with an 82 in the final round, but his first-round advantage held up as the rest of the field struggled to fully capitalize. In the end, Hogg secured a two-shot victory and gave himself the title by doing the most important thing in tournament golf: building a lead early and protecting it late. Preston Yu finished second at 13-over 157 after rounds of 79 and 78, trimming the gap in the final round but coming up just short. Viktor Bastasich, Fausto Perini, and Leo Yong shared third place at 19-over 163. Perini and Yong both posted 79s on Sunday, while Bastasich followed his opening 78 with an 85. Zain Sadiq finished sixth at 20-over 164 after turning in one of the best closing rounds in the division, a 75. The Boys 12-13 division was another example of how quickly momentum could shift at Stoneybrook West. Scores moved around throughout the leaderboard, and no one had a clean path through both rounds. Hogg’s 73 on day one gave him the cushion he needed, and even with pressure coming late, it was enough to keep him on top. Jayden Jiang finished seventh at 27-over 171, Henry Som placed eighth at 38-over 182, and Giovanni DiGiacomo finished ninth at 55-over 199. Hogg’s win added another hard-earned title to the weekend for the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour, as Stoneybrook West Golf Club continued to reward players who could stay composed, manage adversity, and close out the job when it mattered.

Bear's Best Golf Club - Bears Best
SUWANEE, Ga. — Grayson Pearce turned in a composed two-day performance at Bear’s Best Golf Club to capture the Boys 12-13 title at the Bears Best Junior Open, finishing at 2-over 146 after rounds of 74 and 72. Pearce set the tone early with a solid opening-round 74, then returned on Sunday and matched the best closing score in the division with an even-par 72 to separate from the field. In a tournament where Bear’s Best continued to challenge players across every division, Pearce delivered the kind of steady, controlled golf that wins championships. Chance Petersen finished second at 13-over 157 after rounds of 81 and 76, while Bennett Arnold claimed third at 15-over 159 with rounds of 81 and 78. Jack Reynolds produced one of the most notable turnarounds of the division, improving by 15 shots from his opening-round 89 to a final-round 74 to finish fourth at 19-over 163. Will Avery rounded out the top five at 22-over 166. The Boys 12-13 division reflected the same competitive pattern seen throughout the weekend: Bear’s Best rewarded the players who stayed patient, limited mistakes, and handled the pressure of two tournament rounds. Pearce did that better than anyone in the field, finishing as the only player in the division to stay near par over 36 holes. Will Avery placed fifth at 22-over 166, Josiah Hardee finished sixth at 26-over 170, and Charlie Rhodenbaugh took seventh at 30-over 174. Pearce’s victory added another strong championship performance to the weekend for the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour, as Bear’s Best Golf Club once again served as a demanding stage for junior players to test their game under pressure.
