Country Club of Hilton Head
HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. — Glavine White earned the Girls U13 title at the Hilton Head Junior Open after posting a two-round total of 40-over 184 at the Country Club of Hilton Head. White opened the weekend with a 93 and followed it with a 91 in the final round, improving by two shots on Sunday to close out the championship. Her steady finish gave her the division title and added another winning performance to a weekend that tested players across every age group. The Girls U13 division, like the rest of the tournament, was shaped by the demands of the Country Club of Hilton Head. The course required patience, focus, and the ability to stay composed over 36 holes, and White answered that challenge by staying consistent from round to round and finishing with momentum. Her victory completed the girls divisions at the Hilton Head Junior Open and reflected the kind of resilience the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour aims to develop through competition on strong venues. Send me the word and I’ll now stitch every Hilton Head division into one clean full-event press release plus a separate venue recap.

Tampa Bay Junior Open

At Heritage Isles Golf & Country Club, patience and discipline once again proved decisive. Abigail vanAntwerp delivered both. The Lakewood Ranch, Florida native posted rounds of 85 and 84 to finish at +25 (169), securing the Girls U13 title at the Tampa Bay Junior Open. Heritage Isles is a strategic test even for experienced players. For U13 competitors, water-lined fairways and guarded greens amplify the importance of smart targets and steady tempo. Big swings can quickly turn into big numbers. vanAntwerp minimized volatility. She stayed composed across both rounds, managed difficult lies, and avoided the kind of late-round mistakes that often shift momentum in youth divisions. Maria Emilia Caballero Chapparo of Querétaro, Mexico finished second at +33 (177), showing resilience across two demanding days. At this level, development is about learning how to navigate pressure, maintain focus, and complete 36 holes with discipline. At Heritage Isles, vanAntwerp demonstrated all three — and earned the title.

Nashville Junior Shootout at Hermitage
Learn More
Hermitage Golf Club - General's Retreat
At Hermitage Golf Club, finishing stronger than you start often tells the story. Lynne Sloan made that adjustment count. The Nashville native opened with a 98 before closing with a 90 to finish at +44 (188), capturing the Girls U13 division at the Nashville Junior Shootout. That eight-shot improvement on Sunday reflected adaptation. Hermitage’s layout demands disciplined tee shots and thoughtful approaches into subtly contoured greens. For younger divisions, managing yardages and minimizing penalty strokes becomes the defining challenge. Sloan adjusted to the pace of the course in Round 2, tightening her play and reducing the momentum swings that can shape early competitive rounds. The margin wasn’t defined by fireworks. It was defined by resilience and progress across 36 holes. At Hermitage, that matters. This weekend, Sloan earned it.

Links of Lake Mary
Improvement under pressure separates contenders from champions. At Links of Lake Mary, Madeline Raun showed exactly that. The Seminole, Florida native opened with a 94 before responding with an 86 on Sunday to finish at +36 (180), capturing the Girls U13 division at the Central Florida Junior Open. That eight-shot improvement told the story. Lake Mary demands smarter angles on approach and disciplined tee shots with water guarding several key holes. For younger divisions, recovery shots quickly define the round. Raun adjusted, trusted her targets, and limited the compounding mistakes that often shape a 36-hole event. Dylan Hall of Detroit finished second at +41 (185), posting rounds of 95-90. Her steady Sunday effort kept the margin competitive but wasn’t enough to overcome Raun’s closing push. In this age group, progress matters as much as placement. The ability to make mid-tournament adjustments, settle nerves, and finish stronger than you started is foundational. Raun did that best. At Lake Mary, that was the difference.
