The Boys 10–11 Division at the Mid Atlantic Fall Junior Open delivered a thrilling head-to-head battle that came down to just a few strokes. Stonewall Golf Club was demanding, but these young competitors showcased maturity and talent well beyond their years.
Lanhao Pang (Fairfax, VA) emerged as the champion with a two-day total of +3 (147). His rounds of 73–74 were marked by consistent ball striking and composure under pressure. Pang’s ability to limit mistakes and finish strong in both rounds gave him the edge in a tightly contested division.
Just four shots back, Angus “Finn” Lamond V (Chevy Chase, MD) kept things exciting with a runner-up finish at +7 (151). After opening with a 78, Lamond bounced back with an impressive 73 on Sunday—the best round of the division. His final surge kept the pressure on Pang until the closing holes.
The Boys 10–11 Division was a showcase of poise and competitiveness, with Pang’s steady play edging out Lamond’s late rally. Both players demonstrated the caliber of skill rising through junior golf, and their performances turned this age group into one of the weekend’s most exciting storylines at Stonewall.
