Eagle Creek Junior Open
Learn More
The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour stormed into Orlando for the Eagle Creek Junior Open, delivering a thrilling Thanksgiving weekend packed with playoff drama, clutch Sunday rounds, and breakout performances across every age division. From the opening tee shots to the final putts, Eagle Creek tested ball-striking, demanded precision, and produced champions who earned every stroke of their titles. The spotlight belonged to Kainan Huang of Taiwan, who captured the Boys 16–18 championship in a playoff after finishing tied with Kentucky’s Talen Beane at +3 (149). Huang’s calm under pressure and sharp iron play in extras sealed one of the most intense finishes of the fall. Behind them, a world-class field stacked with players from Canada, India, China, and across the U.S. pushed hard, with Hudson Kelahear and Julian Simone tying at +5 and Joshua Cohen just behind at +6. The Boys 14–15 division delivered its own sudden-death storyline, as Caiden Westbroek of Palm Harbor rose to the moment to win a playoff over Brody Drewes after both posted +9 (155). Westbroek’s final-round 73—matching the best score of any player his age all weekend—gave him the momentum he needed to close out the victory when it mattered most. In Boys 12–13, the performance of the weekend came from Junhang Wu of Massachusetts, whose Sunday 75 powered a wire-to-wire win at +13 (159). Wu’s ball-striking separated him from the field as he held off Zain Sadiq (+16) and Evan Pratt (+29), securing another standout result in his HJGT season. The Boys 10–11 title went to Canada’s Rylan Chan, who displayed maturity well beyond his years with rounds of 80–78 to finish at +12 (158). His consistency gave him the edge over Orlando’s Joshua Townsend, who took runner-up at +18. On the girls’ side, Myiah Davidson of Lakewood Ranch delivered one of the clutch rounds of the entire tournament—an even-par 73 on Sunday—to capture the Girls 14–18 championship at +7 (153). She held off a strong charge from Connecticut’s Audrey Bai (+9) and China’s Xinyi “Bonnie” Wu (+10), shaping one of the most competitive girls’ fields of the fall. In Girls U13, Madeline Raun of Seminole put together steady, composed golf all weekend to claim the division title at +40 (186), continuing her strong development through the HJGT ranks. From playoffs to pressure-packed closes, the Eagle Creek Junior Open once again showcased why the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour remains the proving ground for elite junior golfers nationwide and around the world. The performances in Orlando set the tone for a massive winter stretch ahead, as the tour continues elevating the next generation of rising stars.

Lake Tansi Junior Open
Learn More
Lake Tansi Village Country Club
The Lake Tansi Junior Open brought a gritty, hard-fought weekend of golf to Tennessee, where cold air, tight fairways, and demanding greens forced every player in the field to earn every stroke. From the opening tee shots on Saturday to the last putts falling on Sunday, Lake Tansi Village Country Club played as tough as it has all season, and the champions who emerged did so by handling pressure, avoiding big numbers, and staying mentally sharp in conditions that punished even slight mistakes. At the top of the leaderboard in the Boys 16–18 division, Ryder Rose of Edina, MN delivered the steadiness the moment required. His matching rounds of 75–75, finishing at +6, weren’t flashy—but they were controlled, disciplined, and exactly what the course demanded. As the rest of the field absorbed double bogeys and momentum swings, Rose never wavered, maintaining a rhythm that separated him from those chasing. Hayden Bowman fought hard to finish six shots back at +12, while Cillian Carmack closed at +13, each player showing flashes of charge but unable to track down Rose’s consistency. Down the leaderboard, the fight was just as fierce. Minjun Choi at +15, followed by the duo of Parker Brandon and Josh Franks at +18, all battled through the same swirling winds and firm greens that defined the weekend. But Rose’s composure proved the difference, marking a standout performance as the 2025 season winds down. The Boys 14–15 division produced the weekend’s most dramatic Sunday surge. Mark Mercer of Elizabethtown, KY erased a slow start with a brilliant final-round 74, the best score in his division by a wide margin. That run of precision and poise carried him to the top at +16, well ahead of Henry Rackley, who finished at +25, and Austin Manchir, who held third at +42. Mercer’s back nine on Sunday—calm tee shots, confident approaches, and unshakable putting—became the signature stretch of the day across all divisions. In Boys 12–13, Jack Dorr of Nashville embraced the grind better than anyone. His 90–95 weekend, finishing at +41, reflected two days of steady recovery and damage control. With Lake Tansi punishing any lapse in accuracy, Dorr’s resilience and ability to reset after tough holes pushed him clear of Walker Smith, who took second at +61 but showed excellent touch around the greens all weekend. The youngest boys division featured one of the most commanding wins of the event. Hayden Cofield of Chattanooga posted 94–90 to finish at +40, comfortably securing the Boys 10–11 title. His ball-striking improved significantly on Sunday, allowing him to pull away early and never look back. In the Girls 14–18 field, Kamryn Renner of Greeneville, TN emerged as the standout, closing with a strong 80 to capture the title at +20. Renner navigated the course with maturity, turning away pressure with smart club selections and decisive putting when the greens became increasingly tricky. Behind her, a tie at +43 between Bayley Dunn and Reese Hukka showcased two players who stayed tough even as conditions grew more demanding. Caroline Au followed at +47, while Kalyn Watkins completed the top five at +48. In every division, Lake Tansi delivered the same message: this was a weekend where patience beat power, where course management overshadowed risk-taking, and where every champion proved they could adapt when the course tilted against them. The HJGT once again hosted an event that pushed junior golfers to compete, grow, and elevate their games at one of Tennessee’s most challenging venues—and those who battled through Lake Tansi’s test will carry the confidence of this grind into the rest of the season.

Fort Myers Fall Junior Open
Learn More
The Fort Myers Fall Junior Open, hosted by the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour at Cape Royal Golf Club, unfolded under bright Florida skies but with course conditions that demanded precision, patience, and mental toughness across every division. With three different routings—King, Queen, and Prince—each offering its own challenges, players were forced to adapt on the fly and elevate their games when it mattered most. In the Boys 16–18 division, Henry Liebwein set the tone for the weekend. His composed rounds of 73–74 delivered a tournament-winning +3, a performance built on discipline from tee to green. He held off a strong charge from Joseph Hansen, whose 74–75 kept the margin razor-thin until the final stretch. Local standout Blake Pecaro closed with a sharp 74 to secure third at +7, completing a podium defined by ball-striking quality and competitive poise. The Boys 14–15 division produced a similarly tight complexion, with Aaron Che rising above a cluster of contenders to take the title at +8. Che’s combination of course management and steady control on the Prince greens proved decisive, edging out Eshaan Adi, who posted back-to-back +5 rounds to finish at +13. A pair of players—Lucas Coelho and Dominic Manfield—shared third after posting identical +16 finishes, each putting together gritty Sunday efforts. In the Boys 12–13 field, Rory Hugo delivered one of the strongest performances of the weekend, firing 76–75 to win convincingly at +7. His crisp iron play and confident putting gave him full command of the division. Behind him, Zain Sadiq claimed runner-up honors at +17, while Viktor Bastasich rounded out the top three at +26. The Boys 10–11 division saw Harrison Kraus grind through two demanding days to secure the win at +32, backed by rounds of 87–89. His toughness in the face of shifting winds and firming greens set the bar, while Hunter Neubert and Fraser Gannon completed the top three. On the girls’ side, the Girls 14–18 division was shaped by consistency and smart course strategy, with Kate Freshwater taking command early and never relinquishing it. Her superb 82–73 finish delivered a winning +11, with the five-stroke improvement on Sunday serving as the weekend’s defining performance. Jade MacFarland held steady to take second at +15, and Magdalene Ford followed closely at +17. In the Girls U13 division, Natalie Murphy emerged victorious at +74, putting together rounds of 113–105 to handle the King/Queen routing with maturity. Sydney Nibe earned runner-up honors at +85. Across all divisions, the Fort Myers Fall Junior Open captured the essence of the HJGT: players rising to the moment, showcasing resilience under pressure, and delivering competitive golf that pushed the field forward. From breakthrough rounds to late-surge drama, the weekend at Cape Royal delivered a fitting highlight in the heart of the fall season.

Coastal Carolina Junior Open at Fripp Island
Learn More
FRIPP ISLAND, S.C. — The Coastal Carolina Junior Open at Fripp Island delivered a gritty, wind-battered weekend as juniors from across the country — and around the world — took on the twisting marsh carries and demanding greens of Ocean Creek Golf Course. Hosted by the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour, the event tested patience, precision, and late-season toughness, with several divisions coming down to Sunday surges. In the Boys 16–18 division, Winslow Robinson of Traverse City, Michigan, set the standard with back-to-back rounds of 73, good for a winning total of +4. Robinson’s steady tempo and confident approach play allowed him to stay above the fray as coastal winds lifted scores around him. Alex Hunter of Hilton Head Island stayed within reach the entire weekend, finishing just one stroke back at +5, while Joey Looby of Wyoming posted a strong closing 74 to secure third at +9. The Boys 14–15 division belonged to James Conroy of London, England, who mounted a Sunday charge with a 74—one of the cleanest rounds of the weekend across any age group—to finish at +15. Colorado’s Bode Truman claimed runner-up honors at +23, while the remaining field battled shifting gusts and firming greens that made birdie looks rare and momentum hard to find. In the Boys 12–13 division, Nathaniel Miller of Arlington, Virginia, put together a poised two-day performance, following an 86 with an impressive 75 to post +19 and take the division by a commanding margin. He was the only player in the field to break 80, and his Sunday round stood out as one of the best of the day regardless of division. The Boys 10–11 division saw Wallace Simmons of Beaufort, South Carolina, rise to the moment on his home turf. After opening with an 80, Simmons delivered a composed 75 on Sunday—one of the cleanest second-round cards in the entire tournament—to close at +13 and secure the title. His ability to scramble and stay emotionally steady defined the victory. On the girls’ side, Diana Gao of Foshan, China, captured the Girls 14–18 division at +18, leaning on a sharp opening-round 75 to build a cushion she never relinquished. Georgia’s Maya Lilja-Vazquez made a push with rounds of 79 and 83 to finish just two shots back, while Nina Lang and Caroline Parks shared third at +23 following determined Sunday recoveries. In the Girls U13 division, Avery Huls of Tampa held firm across two demanding rounds, posting 94–93 to finish at +43 and claim the division title. Noelle Wood of Orlando earned runner-up honors with a two-day total of +64. Across every division, Ocean Creek delivered a true late-fall test—tight corridors off the tee, swirling breezes, and a layout that rewarded patience as much as power. The players answered with grit, resilience, and several standout Sunday rounds that reshaped leaderboards. Another challenging coastal stop is officially in the books for the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour, with Fripp Island once again proving why it remains one of the most anticipated fall venues on the HJGT schedule.
