Totteridge Club
Greensburg, PA — October 25–26, 2025 The Pittsburgh Fall Junior Open, hosted by the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour at Totteridge Club, delivered an exciting weekend of competition across blustery fall conditions and one of western Pennsylvania’s most challenging layouts. Players from multiple states and age groups battled firm greens, rolling fairways, and shifting winds that made every shot demand precision and patience. In one of the weekend’s most dramatic finishes, Alexander Avi of Kittanning, PA, emerged victorious in the Boys Championship after outlasting Christopher Faber of Wexford, PA, in a tense playoff. Both finished regulation play tied at +3 (147), but Avi’s steady composure in the extra hole sealed the win and capped off a strong showing that featured controlled driving and sharp putting under pressure. Bailey Donahue of Pittsburgh finished just two strokes behind at +5 (149), rounding out a tight leaderboard among the region’s top high school golfers. In another standout performance, Jordan Bello of Beaver, PA, captured the Boys 14–15 title with rounds of 79 and 76, finishing at +11 (155). Bello’s poise and improved second round helped him edge past Ethan Bobonski of Clinton, who finished at +13 (157), while consistent play from Jacob Wallace of Cranberry Township kept him within striking distance in third. The youngest divisions brought equal excitement. Coleson Paez of Rocky River, OH, put on a dominant display in the Boys 12–13 Division, firing a closing 69 to finish even par at 144 — the best total of the entire event. His mix of distance and finesse made him nearly untouchable on Sunday. Meanwhile, Angus “Finn” Lamond of Chevy Chase, MD, claimed the Boys 10–11 Division title at +14 (158) with two steady rounds of 78 and 80, displaying maturity well beyond his age. On the girls’ side, JoJo Jaskulski of Washington, PA, delivered a wire-to-wire win with back-to-back 78s, finishing at +12 (156) to secure the overall girls championship. Her consistency and ability to handle Totteridge’s demanding greens set her apart from the field. Rounding out the top finishers were Katarina DeVito and Alayna Stawovy, who tied for second at 174, showing strong grit in gusty Sunday conditions. In the Girls U13 Division, Madison Do of Mars, PA, posted rounds of 93 and 86 (179) to claim a confident victory, highlighted by significant improvement in her second round. From Avi’s playoff drama to Paez’s flawless ball striking, the Pittsburgh Fall Junior Open showcased both seasoned competitors and emerging talents. Despite brisk fall temperatures and swirling winds, the field displayed sportsmanship, precision, and heart — hallmarks of what continues to make the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour the proving ground for the next generation of champions.
