Golf at the Legacy
Brainerd, MN — October 25–26, 2025 The Minnesota Season Finale at Legacy, hosted by the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour, delivered a fitting conclusion to the Midwest season — a weekend defined by crisp fall air, demanding conditions, and elite competition at The Legacy Golf Course. Players from across the region and beyond battled firm fairways and quick greens in a final test of the 2025 campaign, with champions emerging through composure, consistency, and heart. At the top of the leaderboard in the Boys 16–18 Division, Isa Khan of Saint Paul, MN, rose to the occasion and took home the title with an impressive 4-under-par total of 140 (67–73). Khan’s poise off the tee and precision around the greens set the standard, fending off strong challenges from Jake Palen of Eagan, MN, and Ryder Rose of Edina, MN, who both finished tied for second at -1 (143). Rose’s Sunday round of 69 was one of the tournament’s highlights, a comeback effort that nearly pushed him into a playoff. In the Boys 14–15 Division, Christian Duren of Stillwater, MN, showcased control and consistency to post 164 (+20) for a wire-to-wire victory. Despite gusty winds and a tough second round, Duren’s early lead and ability to recover from missed opportunities gave him the edge over Ilya Khan of Saint Paul, who finished second at +25 (169). The Girls 14–18 Division brought its own share of drama as Kennedy Kaus of Overland Park, Kansas, claimed the top spot with a steady +19 (81–82–163) performance. Kaus’ calm approach and clutch putting were key to holding off a strong final-day charge from Stella Bodensteiner and Reagan Juhl, who tied for second at +21 (165). Ella Souli of Otsego, MN, also made a statement with a brilliant 77 in the final round, one of the lowest scores in the division, securing a fourth-place finish at +24 (168). Rounding out the champions was Shayla Pearson of Mendota Heights, MN, who stood tall in the Girls U13 Division with a composed +25 (83–86–169). Her disciplined play and focus throughout both rounds underscored the depth of young talent developing in the state. From start to finish, the Minnesota Season Finale embodied the spirit of competition that defines the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour — a celebration of growth, resilience, and sportsmanship. As the Midwest season comes to a close, the event leaves behind more than champions — it cements lasting memories and momentum heading into an exciting 2026 season ahead.
