Hurricane Junior Golf Tour hosted the Orange Lake Junior Open this past weekend, August 9-10, at Orange Lake Resort and Country Club. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of 6 divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15, Division, Boys 12-13 Division, Boys 10-11 Division, Girls 14-18 Division, and Girls U13 Division.
Santiago Navarro from Winter Garden, FL was the first-place finisher this weekend. Navarro carded rounds of 68 and 72 for a weekend total of 140. Jordan Paulshock from Wesley Chapel, FL finished in second place with scores of 72 and 72 for a weekend total of 144. Gabriel Cruz Charry from Bogota, Colombia finished in third place with scores of 79 and 68 for a weekend total of 147.
Cooper Coey from Winter Garden, FL and Edward Wang from Dalian, China finished tied for first place. Coey carded rounds of 83 and 90, while Wang carded rounds of 90 and 83, both finishing the weekend with a total of 173. After a playoff Cooper Coey emerged as the champion. Nicholas Campbell from Stourport on Severn, United Kingdom finished in third place with scores of 89 and 86 for a weekend total of 175.
Lucas Tan from Chengdu, China was the first-place finisher this weekend. Tan brought in scores of 76 and 78 for a combined total of 154 for the weekend. Avery Li from Windermere, FL finished in second place with scores of 82 and 80 for a weekend total of 162. Tiger Cao from Beijing, China finished in third place with scores of 87 and 85 for a weekend total of 172.
Xiaoqian Liu from Shenzhen, China was the first-place finisher this weekend. Liu brought in scores of 76 and 76 for a weekend total of 152. Isan Zeng from Winter Garden, FL finished in second place with scores of 79 and 77 for a weekend total of 156. Luiz De Oliveira from Anaco, Venezuela finished in third place with scores of 82 and 76 for a weekend total of 158.
Aicen Wu from Suzhou, China was the first-place finisher this weekend. Wu carded rounds of 76 and 78 for a weekend total of 154. Samantha Von Rohr from Bradenton, FL finished in second place with scores of 82 and 77 for a weekend total of 159. Sofiia Gress from Bradenton, FL, Norah Middleton from Laytonsville, MD, and Jessica Stine from Tampa, FL finished tied for third place. Gress and Middleton carded rounds of 79 and 83, while Stine carded rounds of 78 and 84, they all finished the weekend with a total of 162.
Ana Sofia Navarro from Jalisco, Mexico was the first-place finisher this weekend. Navarro carded rounds of 78 and 82 for a weekend total of 160. Nia Knight from Decatur, GA finished in second place with scores of 160 and 130 for a weekend total of 290.
