The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour opened its spring season in Ohio with the Ohio Kickoff at the Lakes, hosted at The Lake Club, delivering a competitive weekend that challenged players across all divisions.
The Lake Club provided a demanding test of golf, requiring precision, course management, and mental discipline throughout the 36-hole event. Known for its strategic layout, the course features tight fairways, well-placed bunkering, and water hazards that come into play on key holes, forcing players to balance aggression with control.
Throughout the weekend, early-season conditions added to the challenge, with firm greens and variable weather contributing to elevated scoring across multiple divisions. Players who found success were those who minimized mistakes and stayed consistent over both rounds.
The venue’s design rewarded disciplined play and exposed gaps in execution, creating clear separation on the leaderboard. Across all age groups, competitors were tested in a way that mirrors higher levels of tournament golf, reinforcing the value of competing in a nationally recognized environment.
