From March 25-26, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Ohio Kickoff at New Albany. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of three divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, and Girls 14-18 Division.
Trace Gibson from Sugarcreek, OH was the first-place finisher this weekend. Gibson brought in scores of 85 and 75 for a combined total of 160 for the weekend. Noah Dever from New Concord, OH was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 81 and 79 for a combined total of 160. Gibson won in a playoff on the 2nd sudden death hole. Andrew Johnson from Hurricane, WV finished the top three honors with scores of 91 and 72 for a weekend total of 163.
Oscar Frye from Brownsburg, IN was the first-place finisher this weekend. Frye brought in scores of 83 and 79 for a combined total of 162 for the weekend. Grant Roush from Mason, WV was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 90 and 79 for a combined total of 169. Owen Sedgwick from Cincinnati, OH finished the top three honors with scores of 93 and 80 for a weekend total of 173.
Emerson Purcell from New Albany, OH was the first-place finisher this weekend. Purcell brought in scores of 87 and 70 for a combined total of 157 for the weekend. Maura Murphy from Marion, OH and Nikitha Suresh from Plain City, OH tied for runner up for the weekend. Murphy’s scores of 87 and 78 and Suresh’s scores of 86 and 79 both combined to tie for a weekend total 165.
