From March 23-24, 2024, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour hosted the Ohio Kickoff at New Albany. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format and with a field of four divisions, including the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys U10 Division and Girls 14-18 Division.
Oscar Frye from Brownsburg, IN was the first-place finisher of the Ohio Kickoff at New Albany. Frye scored 82 and 76, giving him a combined total of 158 strokes. Noah Dever from New Concord, OH was the runner up. Dever shot 85 and 75, finishing with 160 strokes. Rounding out the top three honors was Trace Gibson from Sugarcreek, OH. Gibson scored 84 and 78, giving him a total of 162 strokes.
Jacob Schroeder from Arcadia, OH was the first-place finisher of the Boys 14-15 Division. Schroeder scored 80 and 83, giving him a combined total of 163 strokes. Angelo Rinaldi from Youngstown, OH was the runner up. Rinaldi shot 90 and 77, finishing with 167 strokes. Matthew Morrone from Poland, OH rounded out the top three. Morrone scored 87 and 83, giving him a total of 170 strokes.
Ethan Li from Plain City, OH was the first-place finisher of the Boys U10 Division. Li scored 84 and 79, giving him a combined total of 163 strokes to finish the weekend.
Olivia Baker from St. Clairsville, OH was the first-place finisher of the Girls 14-18 Division. Baker scored 83 in both rounds, giving her a combined total of 166 strokes. Naomi Goh from Markham, Canada was the runner up. Goh shot 84 and 85, finishing with 169 strokes. Rounding out the leaderboard was Olivia Aronhalt from Powell, OH. Aronhalt scored 90 and 87, giving her a total of 177 strokes to conclude the weekend.
