Ocala, FL – January 7, 2025– The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour proudly hosted the Ocala Junior Open at Adena this past weekend, January 4-5, 2025, at Club Adena in Ocala, Florida. The 36-hole tournament featured an impressive field of talented junior golfers competing across four divisions: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 12-13, Boys 10-11, and Girls 14-18.
Gabriel Prisciandaro from Oviedo, FL was the first-place finisher for the weekend. Prisciandaro brought in scores of 76 and 72 to finish the weekend with a combined score of 148 strokes. Cohen Stringer from Fort Wayne, IN was the runner up this weekend with scores of 75 and 77, a weekend total of 152 strokes. Rounding out the top three honors was Jacob Watson from Port Orange, FL. Watson finished the weekend with scores of 79 and 77 for a total of 156 strokes.
Brayden Pedersen from Alachua, FL was the first place finisher for the the weekend. Pedersen brought in scores of 78 and 80 for a weekend total of 158 strokes. The runner up honors went to Carter Samuels of Melbourne, FL. Samuels had two consistent days firing an 85 on day 1 and an 86 on day 2 for a weekend total of 171 strokes. Rounding out the top three honors was Juan Pablo Estrada. Estrada finished the weekend with scores of 93 and 85 for a weekend total of 178 strokes.
Chi San Allen Haung from Bradenton, FL was the first place finisher for the weekend. Haung brought in scores of 75 and 73 for a weekend total of 148 strokes. Frank Brawley from Tampa, FL was the runner up this weekend finishing with scores of 86 and 83 for a weekend total of 169 strokes. Rounding out the top three honors was Joseph Sitarski from Tampa, FL. Sitarski finished the weekend with a round 1 score of 90 and round 2 score of 88 for a weekend total of 178 strokes.
Brody Monk from Dade City, FL was the first place finisher for the weekend, taking home the championship title. Monk finished with scores of 77 and 79 for a weekend total of 156 strokes. 2024 Boys U10 player of the year, Travis Reaves finished with the runner up honors for the weekend. Travis brought in scores of 79 and 80 for a weekend total of 159 strokes. Rounding out the top three honors was Guinn Hill from Tampa, FL. Hill finished with scores of 85 and 77 for a weekend total of 162 strokes.
Ella Scott from Castle Rock, CO secures the championship title this past weekend after winning in a playoff against Boonyanuch Smitasin. Scott had an impressive weekend bringing in scores of 76 and 75 for a weekend total of 151 strokes. Smitasin, from Orlando, FL finished the weekend with the runner up honors. Smitasin finished with scores of 79 and 72 for a weekend total of 151 strokes. Rounding out the top three honors was Chloe Kang from Orlando, FL. Kang brought in scores of 84 and 85 for a combined weekend total of 169 strokes.
