Hurricane Junior Golf Tour hosted the New Jersey Junior Open this past weekend, May 31- June 1, at Flanders Valley Golf Club. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of 4 divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15, Division, Boys 12-13 Division, and Girls 14-18 Division.
Achal Agnihotri and Brayden Meditz, both from Randolph, NJ, finished tied at the end of the final round, each posting a total score of 146. Meditz recorded consistent rounds of 73 and 73, while Agnihotri shot 75 and 71. In the end, Meditz claimed the victory. Henry White of Montville, NJ secured third place with rounds of 72 and 76, finishing with a total of 148 for the weekend.
Giuseppe Rocco from Whitestone, NY was the first-place finisher this weekend. Rocco brought in scores of 84 and 78 for a weekend total of 162. Brady Cassidy from Gladstone, NJ finished runner up with scores of 85 and 78 for a weekend total of 163. Radley Cahili from Flanders, NJ finished tied for third place with rounds of 83 and 82, finishing with a combined total of 165. Also tied for third place was Timothy Hauser from Stony Point, NY who brought in scores of 84 and 81 for a weekend total of 165.
Luca Musacchio from Chester, NJ was the first-place finisher this weekend. Musacchio brought in scores of 77 and 74 for a combined total of 151 for the weekend. Jack Elia from Chatham, NJ was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 78 and 74 for a combined total of 152. YoungJoo Bahn from Demarest, NJ finished tied for top three honors with scores of 88 and 72 for a weekend total of 160. Crosby Knowland from Ridgewood, NJ also finished tied for top three honors with scores of 81 and 79 for a total of 160.
Olivia Gaglione from Denville, NJ was the first-place finisher this weekend. Gaglione brought in scores of 75 and 74 for a combined total of 149. Pooja Jade from Edison, NJ was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 76 and 77 for a combined total of 153. Veronika Niklin from Staten Island, NY finished tied for third place with scores of 78 and 77 for a weekend total of 155. Nyah Roccamonte-Clark from Iselin, NJ also finished tied for third place with scores of 77 and 78 for a total of 155.
