Myrtle Beach, SC – February 9, 2025 – The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour celebrated a weekend of extraordinary talent and competitive spirit at the Myrtle Beach Winter Junior Open, held February 8-9, 2025, at World Tour Golf Links. Junior golfers from across the region participated in the two-day tournament, competing in five divisions: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 12-13, Boys 10-11, and Girls 14-18.
Owen Sedgwick of Cincinnati, OH, emerged victorious, finishing in first place with scores of 77 on Day 1 and 78 on Day 2, for a total of 155 strokes. Jackson Deagon of Murrells Inlet, SC, secured second place with scores of 74 on Day 1 and 82 on Day 2, for a total of 156 strokes. Lucas Purser of Oak Island, NC, claimed third place, scoring 83 on both Day 1 and Day 2, for a total of 166 strokes.
Mathis Mandeville of Myrtle Beach, SC, finished in first place in this division. Mandeville delivered consistent rounds, recording scores of 85 on Day 1 and 81 on Day 2, for a total of 166 strokes.
Jayce Archer of Moncks Corner, SC, finished in first place this weekend. Archer impressed with scores of 87 on both Day 1 and Day 2, for a total of 174 strokes.
Destiny Jodoin of Victor, NY, clinched first place in this division with scores of 90 on Day 1 and 84 on Day 2, for a total of 174 strokes. Clara Beth Brady of Myrtle Beach, SC, earned second place with scores of 100 on Day 1 and 91 on Day 2, totaling 191 strokes. Sharon Liu of Charlotte, NC, rounded out the top three with scores of 91 on Day 1 and 108 on Day 2, for a total of 199 strokes.
