From February 10-11, 2024, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour hosted the Mission Inn Junior Open. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of six divisions including Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, Boys U10 Division, Girls 14-18 Division and Girls U13 Division.
Juan Jose Saavedra from Chia, Colombia was the first-place finisher of the Boys 16-18 Division. Saavedra scored 72 and 75, giving him a combined total of 147 strokes. Daeung Kim from Howey-in-the-Hills, FL was the runner up. Kim shot 78 and 71, giving him a total of 149 strokes. Rounding out the top three honors was Chanbin Jung from Howey-in-the-Hills, FL. Jung scored 74 and 76, giving him a combined total of 150 strokes.
Yuma Nemoto from Chiba, Japan was the first-place finisher of the Boys 14-15 Division.
Nemoto scored 78 and 70, giving him a combined total of 148 strokes. Seunghwa Baek from
Cheonan-si, Republic of Korea was the runner up. Baek shot 73 and 80, giving him a total of 153
strokes. Chris Capello from Palm Beach, FL and Tiger Guo from Clermont, FL were tied for
third-place honors. Both Capello and Guo scored 160 strokes, with Capello shooting 83 and 77,
while Guo shot 87 and 73.
Jun Eui Im from Howey-in-the-Hills, FL was the first-place finisher of the Mission Inn Junior
Open. Im scored 71 and 69, giving him a combined total of 2-under par, 140 strokes. Simthandile
Tshabalala from Johannesburg, South Africa was the runner up. Tshabalala shot 78 and 85,
giving him a total of 163 strokes. Rounding out the top three honors was Leon Jimenez from
Santiago, Chile. Jimenez scored 78 and 86, giving him a combined total of 164 strokes to finish
the weekend.
Ozzie O’Mahony from Felden, United Kingdom was the first-place finisher of the Boys U10
Division. O’Mahony scored 104 and 101, giving him a combined total of 205 strokes.
Gahui Kim from Howey-in-the-Hills, FL was the first-place finisher of the Girls 14-18 Division.
Kim scored 66 and 75, giving her a combined total of 1-under par, 141 strokes. Emma Mckoan
from Naples, FL was the runner up. Mckoan shot 73 and 71, giving her a total of 144 strokes.
Rounding out the top three honors was Annie Jin from Bellevue, WA. Jin scored 78 and 73,
giving her a combined total of 151 strokes.
Brooklyn Haugen from Brookfield, WI was the first-place finisher of the Girls U13 Division.
Haugen scored 103 and 93, giving her a combined total of 196 strokes.
