Hurricane Junior Golf Tour hosted the Minneapolis Summer Junior Open at Wild Marsh this past weekend, July 23-24, at Wild Marsh Golf Club. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of 5 divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15, Division, Boys 12-13 Division, Boys 10-11 Division, and Girls 14-18 Division.
Charlie Nielsen from Edina, MN claimed first place this weekend with rounds of 73 and 72, finishing with a total score of 145. Bennett Breuer from Eden Prairie, MN finished in second place with scores of 75 and 71 for a weekend total of 146. Brexton Burdick from Scottsdale, AZ, Nathan Hoogsteen from Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada, and Jackson Zeller from Grimes, IA finished tied for third place. Burdick carded rounds of 72 and 78, Hoogsteen carded rounds of 76 and 74, and Zeller carded rounds of 79 and 71, all finishing with a score of 150 for the weekend.
Caleb Lounsbrough from Lino Lakes, MN was the first-place finisher this weekend. Lounsbrough brought in scores of 77 and 77 for a weekend total of 154. Maxwell Jongerius from Spirit Lake, IA finished in second place with scores of 86 and 74 for a weekend total of 160. Charlie Hastings from Wayzata, MN and Sebastian Trujillo from Zimmerman, MN finished tied for third place. Hastings carded rounds of 88 and 78, while Trujillo carded rounds of 79 and 87, both finishing the weekend with scores of 166.
Ethan Lower from Fargo, ND was the first-place finisher this weekend. Lower brought in scores of 87 and 81 for a combined total of 168 for the weekend.
Carson May from Tampa, FL was the first-place finisher this weekend. May brought in scores of 94 and 85 for a weekend total of 179. Cane Couet from Saint Michael, MN finished in second place with scores of 89 and 91 for a weekend total of 180.
Taryn Brandt from Denton, MD was the first-place finisher this weekend. Brandt carded rounds of 84 and 87 for a weekend total of 171. Addison Kofal from Hammond, WI finished in second place with scores of 96 and 87 for a weekend total of 183. Addison Bjerke from Fargo, MD finished in third place with scores of 88 and 98 for a weekend total of 186.
