From February 10-11, 2024, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour hosted the Miami Shores Junior Open. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of six divisions including the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, Boys U10 Division, Girls 14-18 Division and Girls U13 Division.
Constantin Bauer-Mitterlehener from Vienna, Austria was the first-place finisher of the Boys 16-18 Division. Bauer-Mitterlehener scored 72 and 75, giving him a combined total of 147 strokes. Diego Azar from London, United Kingdom was the runner up. Azar shot 78 and 75, giving him a total of 153 strokes. Daniel De Quintal from Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands, Yuanzhou Ye from Weston, FL and Reed Weekley from Davie, FL were tied for third-place honors. All three finished with 154 strokes, De Quintal scoring 76 and 78, Ye shooting 79 and 75, and Weekley shot 81 and 73.
William Richards from Miami, FL was the first-place finisher of the Miami Shores Junior Open. Richards scored 71 and 73, giving him a combined total of 144 strokes. Borja Friend from Key Biscayne, FL was the runner up. Friend shot 78 and 73, giving him a total of 151 strokes. Inigo Friend from Key Biscayne, FL rounded out the top three honors. Friend scored 78 and 84, giving him a combined total of 162 strokes.
Cole Durham from Miami, FL was the first-place finisher of the Boys 11-13 Division. Durham scored 78 and 81, giving him a combined total of 159 strokes. Jack McCue from Bay Harbor Islands, FL was the runner up. McCue shot 85 and 80, giving him a total of 165 strokes. Rounding out the top three honors was Bear Sullivan from Vero Beach, FL. Sullivan scored 92 and 94, giving him a combined total of 186 strokes.
Bodie Patton from Eureka, MO was the first-place finisher of the Boys U10 Division. Patton scored 77 and 86, giving him a combined total of 163 strokes. Frayser White from Charlottesville, VA was the runner up. White scored 88 and 86, giving him a total of 174 strokes.
Bailey “BB” Baio from Bradenton, FL was the first-place finisher of the Girls 14-18 Division after winning the playoff against Esha Nagalla from Pinecrest, FL. Both scored 181 strokes, with Baio shooting 89 and 92 while Nagalla shot 95 and 86. Ainsley Grohowski from Fort Meyers, FL rounded out the top three honors. Grohowski scored 97 in both rounds, giving her a combined total of 194 strokes.
Mia Heuberer from Miami Beach, FL was the first-place finisher of the Girls U13 Division. Heuberer scored 72 and 76, giving her a combined total of 148 strokes. Shauna Brunner from Winterthur, Switzerland was the runner up. Brunner scored 87 and 86, giving her a total of 173 strokes to finish the weekend.
