From March 16-17, 2024, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour hosted the Lake Worth Junior Open at Fountains. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format and with a field of four divisions, including the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division and Girls 14-18 Division.
Eloik Bertrand from Boynton Beach, FL was the first-place finisher of the Boys 16-18 Division. Bertrand scored 71 and 74, giving him a combined total of 145 strokes. Brady Hall from Kingston, Canada was the runner up, shooting just one point behind the lead with 72 and 74 to finish with 146 strokes. Rounding out the top three honors was Diego Serrano Rodriguez from Corregidora, Mexico. Serrano Rodriguez scored 71 and 76, giving him a combined total of 147 strokes.
Kayden Jae from Bradenton, FL was the first-place finisher of the Boys 14-15 Division. Jae scored 79 and 80, giving him a combined total of 159 strokes. Yuheng Li from Sunrise, FL was the runner up, shooting 80 in both rounds to finish with 160 strokes. Manuel Lopez Cedeno Simbeck from Mexico City, Mexico rounded out the top three honors, scoring 79 and 85 to finish the weekend with 164 strokes.
Dermot Duggan from Westborough, MA was the first-place finisher of the Boys 11-13 Division. Duggan scored 75 and 77, giving him a combined total of 152 strokes. Yoobeom Kim from Gangnam-gu, Republic of Korea was the runner up. Kim shot 90 in both rounds, finishing with 180 strokes. Rounding out the top three honors was Jason “Jay” Freda from Lexington, MA. Freda scored 91 and 95, giving him a combined total of 186 strokes.
Hsin Tai Lin from Taipei City, Taiwan was the first-place finisher of the Lake Worth Junior Open at Fountains. Lin scored 67 and 69, giving her a combined total of 6-under par, 136 strokes. Gabriella DeGasperis from Jupiter, FL and Kylie Eaton from Greenville, RI were tied for runner up. Both scored 153 strokes, with DeGasperis shooting 77 and 76 while Eaton shot 70 and 83.
