From July 9-10, 2022, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Knoxville Summer Junior Open. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of three divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, and Girls 14-18 Division.

Tripp Hall from Charleston, Tennessee was the first-place finisher this weekend. Hall brought in scores of 73 and 73 for a combined total of 146 for the weekend. Drew Bolton, from Knoxville, Tennessee was the runner up with scores of 73 and 76 for a combined total of 149. Ian Kinsey, from Cleveland, Tennessee and Cody Skipper, from Cleveland, Tennessee finished the top three honors with scores of 84 and 72, and 78 and 78, respectively, for a total of 156 each.

Gabrielle Starling from Knoxville, Tennessee was the runner up with scores of 75 and 76 for a combined total of 151. McKenzie Trautman from Jamestown, Kentucky finished the top three honors with scores of 78 and 74 for a weekend total of 152.
