Kansas City Season Finale
Kansas City, MO — October 18–19, 2025
The Kansas City Season Finale, hosted by the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour at Drumm Farm Golf Club, closed out the fall season with an exciting weekend of competition that featured some of the region’s best junior golfers. Players faced crisp fall conditions and a challenging layout that tested accuracy, patience, and course management across all divisions.
In the Boys 16–18 Division, Rowan Banning of Leawood, Kansas, delivered a composed and confident performance to capture the victory with rounds of 72 and 71 (-1 total). Banning’s consistency and control under pressure separated him from the field, making him the only player to finish under par for the event. Porter Howard of Fairway, KS, made a strong push on Sunday with a 71, finishing three strokes back at +2 (75–71).
The Boys 14–15 Division featured a gritty performance from Luke Seagrave of Springfield, Missouri, who held off the competition with rounds of 76 and 81 (+13 total) to secure the win. Despite firm greens and swirling winds, Seagrave’s steady play and focus gave him enough cushion to edge out Tim Hogan of Mission Hills, KS, who finished runner-up at +17 (76–85).
In the Boys 12–13 Division, Briggs Smith of Warrensburg, Missouri, put together two outstanding rounds of 73 and 73 (+2 total) to earn the title. Smith’s precision off the tee and confident putting set the tone early, allowing him to maintain the lead throughout the weekend. Cal Gibson of Parkville, MO, finished close behind in second at +5 (75–74) after two steady rounds.
The Kansas City Season Finale concluded a successful chapter of the 2025 Hurricane Junior Golf Tour, highlighting the next wave of golf talent from across the Midwest. From clutch birdies to composed finishes, the event captured the spirit of junior golf — determination, growth, and a drive to compete at the highest level.
