From February 10-11, 2024, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour hosted the Grand Strand Junior Open at True Blue. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of five divisions including the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, Boys U10 Division and Girls 14-18 Division.
Vaughn McMeans from Isle of Palms, SC was the first-place finisher of the Grand Strand Junior Open at True Blue. McMeans scored 73 and 72, giving him a combined total of 145 strokes. Matthew Teegardin from Charleston, SC was the runner up. Teegardin shot 78 and 73, giving him a total of 151 strokes. Rounding out the top three honors was Daniel Donato from Mount Pleasant, SC. Donato scored 80 and 72, giving him a combined total of 152 strokes.
Jamen Sanders from Goose Creek, SC was the first-place finisher of the Boys 14-15 Division. Sanders scored 83 and 72, giving him a combined total of 155 strokes. Nathan DiLisi from Charleston, SC was the runner up. DiLisi shot 80 and 87, giving him a total of 167 strokes. Dylan Roof from Conway, SC rounded out the top three honors. Roof scored 87 and 81, giving him a combined total of 168 strokes.
Kipp Madison from Augusta, GA was the first-place finisher of the Boys 11-13 Division. Madison scored 76 and 78, giving him a combined total of 154 strokes. Kohler Preuss from Mount Pleasant, SC was the runner up. Preuss shot 77 and 83, giving him a total of 160 strokes. Rounding out the top three honors was Austin Abernethy from Murrells Inlet, SC. Abernethy scored 79 and 83, giving him a combined total of 162 strokes.
Zane Madison from Augusta, GA was the first-place finisher of the Boys U10 Division. Madison scored 83 and 78, giving him a combined total of 161 strokes. Mason Johnson from North Augusta, GA was the runner up. Johnson shot 80 and 87, giving him a total of 167 strokes.
Adyson Ice from Parker, CO was the first-place finisher of the Girls 14-18 Division. Ice scored 91 and 83, giving her a combined total of 174 strokes. Caroline Morris from Charleston, SC was the runner up. Morris scored 100 in both rounds, giving her a combined total of 200 strokes.
