The Ft. Lauderdale Junior Open wrapped up an exciting weekend at Colony West Golf Club, where junior golfers competed across Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 12-13, and Girls 14-18 divisions. The tournament, held on March 1-2, 2025, saw young athletes put their skills to the test across two competitive rounds.
Julian Ortiz from Mexico finished in first place, delivering rounds of 73 on Day 1 and an impressive 69 on Day 2, totaling 142 strokes. Zachary Georgantas from Foxboro, MA, secured second place, shooting 73 on Day 1 and 72 on Day 2, finishing with 145 strokes. Marco Sanchez from Weston, FL, rounded out
the top three, posting 72 on Day 1 and 74 on Day 2, for a combined 146 strokes.
Gerardo Zepeda from Boca Raton, FL, finished in first place, carding 80 on Day 1 and 74 on Day 2, for a total of 154 strokes. Julian Koehler from Palm Beach Gardens, FL, claimed second place, shooting 78 on both Day 1 and Day 2, finishing with 156 strokes. Luis Felipe Linares from Bogota, Colombia, took third place, posting 80 on Day 1 and 81 on Day 2, totaling 161 strokes.
Hudson Murray from Bradenton, FL, secured first place, shooting 82 on Day 1 and 72 on Day 2, finishing with 154 strokes. Kane Solano from Las Vegas, NV, earned second place, carding 85 on Day 1 and 78 on Day 2, totaling 163 strokes. Rivers Nelson from Calabasas, CA, took third place, posting 85 on Day 1 and 79 on Day 2, finishing with 164 strokes
Payton Haugen from Brookfield, WI, clinched first place, posting rounds of 73 on Day 1 and 75 on Day 2, for a total of 148 strokes. Gabriella DeGasperis from Jupiter, FL, earned second place, recording 75 on Day 1 and 81 on Day 2, finishing with 156 strokes. Sara Ali from Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates,
rounded out the top three, scoring 77 on Day 1 and 84 on Day 2, totaling 161 strokes.
