The Fall College Prep Series at Louisville, hosted by the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour at the University of Louisville Golf Club, delivered a thrilling weekend of competitive golf as some of the region’s top junior players wrapped up the fall season.
In the Girls 14–18 Division, Heidi Mitchell of Louisville, Kentucky, triumphed in dramatic fashion, defeating Ana Hernandez of Doral, Florida, in a one-hole playoff after both finished tied at +15 (159). Mitchell’s poise on the greens and consistent play under pressure earned her the victory on her home course, drawing loud cheers from local supporters.
Across the field, talented players battled the demanding layout, firm fairways, and quick greens. Claire Zeiger of New Albany, Ohio, secured third place at +24 (168), while Lexi Green of Charleston, West Virginia, and Alexandra Scharfenberger of Louisville, Kentucky, rounded out the top five.

Josh Fratzel of Shawnee, Kansas, dominated the field with a remarkable -4 (68–72—140) performance, showcasing control and consistency from start to finish. His opening-round 68 set the tone, and he held steady through challenging Sunday conditions to secure a wire-to-wire victory.
Local standout Parker Brandon of La Grange, Kentucky, claimed runner-up honors at +3 (70–77—147), while Chase Huff of Bardstown, Kentucky, rounded out the top three with a steady +7 (76–75—151).
The leaderboard behind them featured determined efforts from a deep field, including Austin Nicholas of Ohio and Jack Walker of Texas, who tied for fourth at +15 (159).

Layow’s disciplined play off the tee and calm putting under pressure helped him hold off Michael Tomaro Jr. of Cincinnati, Ohio, who finished second at +18 (162) after a strong Sunday charge that included a 77 in Round 2.
Rounding out the top three was Whitt Kaster of Louisville, Kentucky, who posted +21 (82–83—165), showing resilience through challenging pin placements and swirling winds.

After two grueling rounds under cool Kentucky skies, Heidi Mitchell of Louisville, Kentucky, emerged victorious in a dramatic one-hole playoff over Ana Hernandez of Doral, Florida, to capture the Girls 14–18 Division title.
Both Mitchell and Hernandez finished regulation tied at +15 (159), with Mitchell carding consistent rounds of 80–79 and Hernandez posting a strong 75–84. In the playoff, Mitchell showed nerves of steel, sinking a clutch putt to seal the win in front of a local crowd.
