Orlando, FL – February 3, 2025 – The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour delivered an exhilarating weekend of junior golf competition at the Disney Junior Open, held February 1-2, 2025, at Walt Disney World in Orlando, FL. Junior golfers from across the globe competed in this highly anticipated two-day tournament, showcasing their talent across six divisions: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 12-13, Boys 10-11, Girls 14-18, and Girls U13.
Sebastian Fernandez of Windermere, FL, claimed the top spot with scores of 71 on Day 1 and 72 on Day 2, tying with Luke Walker of Bradenton, FL, who posted scores of 74 on Day 1 and an impressive 69 on Day 2. The tie was resolved with Walker emerging victorious in a thrilling 2-hole playoff. Both players ended the weekend with a total of 143 strokes. Abhay Minhas of Burnaby, Canada, secured third place with scores of 73 on Day 1 and 72 on Day 2, totaling 145 strokes.
Jeronimo Esteve of Windermere, FL, finished in first place with consistent scores of 78 on both days, totaling 156 strokes. Reagan Johnson of Sevierville, TN, placed second with scores of 79 on Day 1 and Day 2 for a total of 158 strokes. Jose Basconcellos of Burgos, Spain, rounded out the top three with scores of 79 and 80, totaling 159 strokes.
Madalyn Gubernick of Cave Creek, AZ, captured first place with a standout performance, posting scores of 75 on Day 1 and 70 on Day 2, for a total of 145 strokes. Yui Iijima of Tokyo, Japan, earned second place with scores of 79 and 74, totaling 153 strokes. Cecily Henshon of Longmeadow, MA, came in third with scores of 78 and 76, finishing with a total of 154 strokes.
Chloe Jinwen Han of Suzhou, China, finished first in this division with scores of 86 on Day 1 and 82 on Day 2, for a total of 168 strokes. Celia Summer of Scottsdale, AZ, placed second with scores of 89 and 90, totaling 179 strokes.
