From February 24-25, 2024, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour hosted the College Prep Series at Vanderbilt. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format and with a field of five divisions, including the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, Girls 14-18 Division and Girls U13 Division.
Theo Desroches from Saint-Sauveur, Canada was the first-place finisher of the College Prep Series at Vanderbilt. Desroches scored 73 and 72, giving him a combined total of 145 strokes. Lawson Barks from Poplar Bluff, MO, Praval Bathi from Chattanooga, TN and Jacob Florek from Belleville, IL finished with 151 strokes in a three-way tie for runner up. Barks scored 75 and 76, while Bathi and Florek both shot 77 and 74.
Kolton Kijanko from Weldon Spring, MO was the first-place finisher of the Boys 14-15 Division. Kijanko scored 84 and 81, giving him a combined total of 165 strokes. Sy McDaniel from Lexington, KY was the runner up. McDaniel shot 90 and 79, finishing the weekend with 169 strokes. Brady Crane from Brentwood, TN and Hank McDowell from Knoxville/Chattanooga, TN were tied for third-place honors with 170 strokes. Crane scored 87 and 83, while McDowell shot 83 and 87 to round out the leaderboard.
Pierce Doudney from Nashville, TN was the first-place finisher of the Boys 11-13 Division. Doudney scored 80 and 82, giving him a combined total of 162 strokes. Albert Costello III from Wyckoff, NJ was the runner up. Costello shot 98 and 90, finishing the weekend with 188 strokes. Rounding out the top three honors was Brendan Gibson from Columbia, IL. Gibson scored 104 and 93, giving him a combined total of 197 strokes.
Anna Bell from Poplar Bluff, MO was the first-place finisher of the Girls 14-18 Division. Bell scored 77 in both rounds, giving her a combined total of 154 strokes. Klare Jamison from Huntsville, AL was the runner up. Jamison shot 79 and 77, finishing the weekend with 156 strokes. Rounding out the top three honors was Justine Emond from St-Jerome, Canada. Emond scored 83 and 74, giving her a total of 157 strokes.
Natalie Wasik from Lockport, NY was the first-place finisher of the Girls U13 Division. Wasik scored 85 and 75, giving her a combined total of 160 strokes. Alexandra Scharfenberger from Louisville, KY was the runner up. Scharfenberger shot 104 and 94, finishing with a total of 198 strokes. Audrey King from Nolensville, TN rounded out the top three honors. King scored 124 and 107 to finish with a total of 231 strokes.
