Junior golfers from across the country brought their energy and skill to the Chicagoland Kickoff at Glen Ellyn, hosted by the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour. Held over two days at the beautiful Village Links of Glen Ellyn, this competitive event was filled with dramatic swings, close finishes, and undeniable charm.
Jack Stamatis from Winnetka, IL, finished in first place, posting a 77 on Day 1 and a 74 on Day 2 for a
total of 151 strokes. His strong finish secured the top spot by a single stroke over McCoy Miller from
Ankeny, IA, who carded rounds of 82 on Day 1 and 70 on Day 2, totaling 152 strokes. Tyson Daube from
Lincolnshire, IL, took third place with rounds of 77 and 78, finishing at 155.
Harrison Hartke from Cedar Rapids, IA, finished in first place with rounds of 74 on Day 1 and 78 on Day
2 for a total of 152. Palmer Mertz from Altoona, IA, came in second, scoring 83 and 82 across the two
days for a total of 165. Niko Harisiadis from Arlington Heights, IL, rounded out the top three with rounds
of 95 and 87, ending with a score of 182
Jacob Shelby from Dunlap, IL, finished in first place, carding an 80 on Day 1 and an 87 on Day 2 for a
total of 167 strokes. Sean McKenna from Wheaton, IL, took second place, posting rounds of 90 and 99
for a total of 189 strokes.
Isabella Kongshaug from Elk Mound, WI, finished in first place after a playoff, recording rounds of 78
on Day 1 and 82 on Day 2 to total 160 strokes. Grace Zhang from Frankfort, IL, also shot 160 with rounds
of 80 on both days, tying for first before the playoff. Clara Kongshaug, also from Elk Mound, WI, took
third place with scores of 74 and 87 for a total of 161.
