Newton, NC – February 3, 2025 – The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour delivered an exciting weekend of competition with the Charlotte Winter Junior Open, held February 1-2, 2025, at Catawba Country Club in Newton, NC. Junior golfers from across the region competed in this highly anticipated two-day tournament, showcasing their talent across five divisions: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 12-13, Boys 10-11, and Girls 14-18.
David Patrylo of La Plata, MD, finished in first place this weekend. Patrylo showcased impressive consistency with scores of 78 on Day 1 and 71 on Day 2, for a total of 149 strokes. Riley Naylor of Mooresville, NC, claimed second place with scores of 78 on Day 1 and 72 on Day 2, for a total of 150 strokes. Henry Ashley of Granger, IN, rounded out the top three with scores of 80 on Day 1 and 73 on Day 2, achieving a total of 153 strokes.
Colin Rushlow of Lake Wylie, SC, captured first place this weekend. Rushlow recorded scores of 81 on Day 1 and 84 on Day 2, for a total of 165 strokes. Zach Hamid of Charlotte, NC, finished in second place with scores of 82 on Day 1 and 88 on Day 2, for a total of 170 strokes. Townes Phillips of Roanoke, VA, secured third place with scores of 96 on Day 1 and 84 on Day 2, finishing with a total of 180 strokes.
Josiah (Jo) Hardee of Johns Creek, GA, claimed the top spot in this division with scores of 86 on Day 1 and 87 on Day 2, for a total of 173 strokes. Lee Phillips of Roanoke, VA, came in second place, posting scores of 100 on both Day 1 and Day 2, for a total of 200 strokes.
Colin LaDuke of Weaverville, NC, finished in first place this weekend. LaDuke delivered a solid performance with scores of 82 on Day 1 and 81 on Day 2, for a total of 163 strokes
Alexis Blanchette of Davidson, NC, emerged as the winner in this division with scores of 84 on Day 1 and 82 on Day 2, for a total of 166 strokes. Brielle Morrison of 28677, NC, claimed second place with scores of 92 on Day 1 and 89 on Day 2, for a total of 181 strokes. Julia Hammond of Mooresville, NC, rounded out the top three with scores of 94 on Day 1 and 106 on Day 2, achieving a total of 200 strokes.
