From April 13-14, 2024, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour hosted the Charlotte Spring Junior Open at Mooresville. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format and with a field of six divisions including the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, Boys U10 Division, Girls 14-18 Division and Girls U13 Division.
Xan Pitt from Wake Forest, NC was the first-place finisher of the Charlotte Spring Junior Open at Mooresville. Pitt scored 80 and 73, giving him a combined total of 153 strokes. Nick Marsh from New York, NY was the runner up, shooting 79 and 78 to finish with 157 strokes. Rounding out the top three honors was Payson Dotson from Findlay, OH. Dotson scored 79 and 81, giving him a total of 160 strokes.
Andrew Blanchette from Davidson, NC was the first-place finisher of the Boys 14-15 Division. Blanchette scored 83 and 86, giving him a combined total of 169 strokes. Isaac Helphinstine from Johnson City, TN was the runner up, shooting 86 and 85 to finish with 171 strokes. Charlie Leichtweis from Charlotte, NC rounded out the top-three honors, scoring 88 and 92 to give him a total score of 180 strokes.
Owen Jones from Wake Forest, NC was the first-place finisher of the Boys 11-13 Division. Jones scored 92 and 82, giving him a combined total of 174 strokes. Henry Floyd from Mooresville, NC was the runner up, shooting 90 and 87 to finish with 177 strokes. Rounding out the leaderboard was Colin Nelin from Mooresville, NC. Nelin scored 88 and 92, giving him a combined total of 180 strokes.
Regan Polka from Saint Simons Island, GA was the first-place finisher of the Boys U10 Division. Polka scored 116 and 122, giving him a combined total of 238 strokes.
Malerie Lague from Huntersville, NC was the first-place finisher of the Girls 14-18 Division. Lague scored 79 and 76, giving her a combined total of 155 strokes. Paisley Freda from Cornelius, NC was the runner up, shooting 79 and 84 to finish with 163 strokes. Riley Reed from Russellville, TN rounded out the leaderboard scoring 88 and 90 to finish the weekend with 178 strokes.
Sharon Liu from Charlotte, NC was the first-place finisher of the Girls U13 Division. Liu scored 105 and 90, giving her a combined total of 195 strokes.
