It was a thrilling weekend of competitive junior golf at the Charlotte
Spring Junior Open, held April 12-13, 2025, at the Mooresville Golf Course. With perfect weather and a spirited atmosphere, young golfers from across the region brought the energy across two days of play. From nail-biting playoffs to strong Day 2 comebacks, this event was packed with unforgettable moments and winning performances
Wells Rose of Charlotte, NC finished in first place, delivering solid rounds of 77 on Day 1 and 78 on Day
2, totaling 155 strokes. His consistent rhythm kept him atop the leaderboard through the final stretch.
Tanner Hesse of Lynchburg, VA climbed to second place with a strong 77 on Day 2, following an 83 on
Day 1 to finish with 160 strokes. Landon Heers of Sherrills Ford, NC came in third after rounds of 80 and
82, totaling 162 strokes
Britton Steede of Cramerton, NC finished in first place with steady rounds of 78 on both Day 1 and Day
2 for a total of 156 strokes. Ryan Cains of Marvin, NC secured second place, posting 82 on Day 1 and
improving to 78 on Day 2, finishing with 160 strokes. Marc D’Amico of Waxhaw, NC followed closely
with 84 and 78 for a third-place finish at 162.
Tripp Hallett of Charlotte, NC finished in first place after a dramatic one-hole playoff, following rounds
of 79 on Day 1 and 80 on Day 2 to tie with 159 strokes. He edged out Hayden Dieffenbach of Waxhaw,
NC, who matched him stroke for stroke with a 78 on Day 1 and 81 on Day 2. Shane Stepnicka of
Jefferson, NC took third with rounds of 97 and 79, finishing at 176 strokes.
Kelsey Sciacca of Charlotte, NC finished in first place, posting an 83 on Day 1 and an impressive 74 on
Day 2 to finish at 157 strokes. Her Day 2 push sealed her spot at the top. Rachawadee Srimaung of
Bangkok, Thailand came in second with back-to-back rounds of 85 for a total of 170 strokes. Sharon Liu
of Charlotte, NC earned third with an 87 on Day 1 and 84 on Day 2, ending the weekend with 171.
Ella Sciacca of Charlotte, NC finished in first place with a round of 96 on Day 1 and 92 on Day 2, tallying 188 strokes. Her perseverance across both rounds made her performance one to remember.
