From April 13-14, 2024, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour hosted the Cantigny Junior Open. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format and with a field of five divisions, including the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, Girls 14-18 Division and Girls U13 Division.
Quinn Swienton from Bolingbrook, IL was the first-place finisher of the Boys 16-18 Division. Swienton scored 77 and 81, giving him a combined total of 158 strokes. Anthony Solare from St. Charles, IL was the runner up, shooting 82 and 80 to finish with 162 strokes. Rounding out the top three honors was Brighton Mao from Palatine, IL. Mao scored 80 and 87, giving him a total of 167 strokes.
Hunter Benson from Mahomet, IL was the first-place finisher of the Boys 14-15 Division. Benson scored 81 in both rounds, giving him a combined total of 162 strokes. In second place was Taylor Lansing from Lake Forest, IL, shooting 81 and 88 to finish with 169 strokes. Hank Case Fattes from Glen Ellyn, IL and Ayush Damodar from Brookfield, WI were tied for third-place honors. Both scored 173 strokes, with Case Fattes shooting 84 and 89 while Damodar shot 90 and 83.
Landon Nichols from Nixa, MO was the first-place finisher of the Cantigny Junior Open. Nichols scored 75 in both rounds, giving him a combined total of 150 strokes. Colin Biebel from La Grange, IL was the runner up, shooting 101 and 95 to finish with 196 strokes. Rounding out the top three honors was Peter Farber from Wheaton, IL. Farber scored 114 and 102, giving him a combined total of 216 strokes.
Payton Haugen from Brookfield, WI was the first-place finisher of the Girls 14-18 Division. Haugen scored 75 and 79, giving her a combined total of 154 strokes. Addison Roesch from Menomonee Falls, WI was the runner up, shooting 83 and 76 to finish with 159 strokes. Kelby Anderson (International Falls, MN), Vivian Cressman (Middleton, WI), and Campbell Ray (Long Grove, IL) were all tied for third-place honors. All three competitors scored 160 strokes, with Anderson shooting 82 and 78, while Cressman shot two rounds of 80 and Ray scored 81 and 79.
Wakana Hill from Flossmoor, IL was the first-place finisher of the Girls U13 Division. Hill scored 100 and 85, giving her a combined total of 185 strokes. Aubrey Molaison from Waukesha, WI was the runner up, shooting 91 and 99 to finish the weekend with 190 strokes.
