New Sandy Burr Country Club served as the vibrant stage for this past
weekend’s Boston Spring Kickoff at Sandy Burr, held April 5-6, 2025. Junior golfers from across the region brought their A-game to this classic Massachusetts course, where the cool spring air didn’t stop hot competition. Each swing and stroke was packed with heart, hustle, and the promise of a bright golf future.
Jacob Carlson of Chelmsford, MA finished in first place with rounds of 76 on Day 1 and 73 on Day 2, totaling 149 strokes. Connor Herney of Longmeadow, MA took second place with scores of 76 and 76, finishing at 152 strokes. SJ Welch Jr. of Newport, ME placed third with rounds of 74 and 82, for a weekend total of 156 strokes.
Nolan Greenfield of Wayland, MA finished in first place with rounds of 85 on Day 1 and 81 on Day 2,
totaling 166 strokes. Lucas Flynn of Melrose, MA tied for first place with scores of 81 and 85, also
finishing at 166 strokes. Nicholas Zhou of Shrewsbury, MA secured third with scores of 83 and 87,
ending at 170 strokes.
Edouard Marchand of Longueuil, Quebec, Canada finished in first place with rounds of 87 on Day 1 and
78 on Day 2, totaling 165 strokes. Gregory Cook of Scituate, MA placed second with scores of 99 and 96,
ending with 195 strokes.
Ryley Regan of Granby, MA finished in first place after scoring 79 on Day 1 and 76 on Day 2, for a total
of 155 strokes. Nina Zhuang of Woodstock, CT secured second with rounds of 89 and 72, finishing at 161
strokes. Isabella Arone of West Newton, MA rounded out the top three with scores of 96 and 86, for a
total of 182 strokes.
