From February 17-19, 2024, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour hosted the 54 Hole Texas Junior Open. The tournament was made up of a 54-hole format and with a field of four divisions, including the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Girls 14-18 Division and Girls U13 Division.
Oliver Betschart from Warwick, Bermuda was the first-place finisher of the Boys 16-18 Division. Betschart scored 76, 72, and 71, giving him a combined total of 219 strokes. Grant Yerger from Austin, TX was the runner up. Yerger scored 76, 74, and 70, finishing just one point behind the lead with 220 strokes. Rounding out the top three honors was Charles Looker from Cottage Grove, MN. Looker shot 76 in round one and 75 in rounds two and three, giving him a total of 226 strokes to finish the weekend.
Adrian Bowers from Pearland, TX was the first-place finisher of the Boys 14-15 Division. Bowers scored 76 in the first round and 74 in rounds two and three, giving him a combined total of 224 strokes. Brady Ahlfors from Boerne, TX was the runner up. Ahlfors shot 77, 78, and 76 to finish with 231 strokes. Maxwell Wymore from San Angelo, TX rounded out the top three honors. Wymore scored 82, 80, and 81, giving him a total score of 243 strokes.
Olivia Johnson from Calgary, Canada was the first-place finisher of the Girls 14-18 Division. Johnson scored 78, 80, and 78, giving her a combined total of 236 strokes. Jules Mahan from San Antonio, TX was the runner up. Mahan shot 85, 79, and 74 to finish with a total of 238 strokes, just two points behind the lead. Rounding out the top three honors was Paula Ortiz Zamora from San Antonio, TX. Ortiz Zamora scored 77, 85, and 81, giving her a total of 243 strokes.
Ava Frazier from Round Rock, TX was the first-place finisher of the 54 Hole Texas Junior Open. Frazier scored 72, 67, and 68, finishing 9-under par with a combined total of 207 strokes. Ani Izabella Cooper from Allen, TX was the runner up. Cooper shot 76, 81, and 78, giving her a combined total of 235 strokes. Rounding out the top three honors was Addison Mccullough from San Antonio, TX. Mccullough scored 90, 85, and 96 to finish with a total of 271 strokes.
