From February 17-19, 2024, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour hosted the 54 Hole Raleigh Junior Open. The tournament was made up of a 54-hole format and a field of five divisions including the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, Boys U10 Division and Girls 14-18 Division.
Luca Rinaldi from Midlothian, VA was the first-place finisher of the 54 Hole Raleigh Junior Open. Rinaldi scored 69, 76, and 75, giving him a combined total of 220 strokes. Alejandro Caraballo from Williamsburg, VA was the runner up. Caraballo shot 74, 79, and 74 to finish with 227 strokes. Rounding out the top three honors was Jackson Geyer from Havre De Grace, MD. Geyer scored 77, 75 and 77 to give him a total of 229 strokes.
Julius Lorimer from Indian Land, SC was the first-place finisher of the Boys 14-15 Division. Lorimer scored 90 in the first two rounds and 84 in the third, giving him a combined total of 264 strokes. Andrew Osborn from Matthews, NC was the runner up. Osborn shot 97, 101, and 93, finishing with a total of 291 strokes. Richard Chen from Blacksburg, VA rounded out the top three honors. Chen scored 124, 99, and 111 to wrap up the weekend with 334 strokes.
Hayden Chung from Englewood Cliffs, NJ was the first-place finisher of the Boys 11-13 Division. Chung scored 75, 79 and 87, giving him a combined total of 241 strokes. Logan Turner from Berwyn, PA was the runner up. Turner shot 90, 84, and 79 to finish with 253 strokes. Rounding out the leaderboard was Christopher Davis from Holly Springs, NC. Davis scored 90, 88, and 82, giving him a total score of 260 strokes.
Remington Faunce from Richmond, VA was the first-place finisher of the Boys U10 Division. Faunce scored 96, 103, and 96, giving him a combined total of 295 strokes.
Leela Kenwood from Bethseda, MD was the first-place finisher of the Girls 14-18 Division. Kenwood scored 85, 82, and 81, giving her a combined score of 248 strokes. Lauren Davis from Holly Springs, NC was the runner up. Davis shot 85, 82, and 83, finishing just two points behind the leader with 250 strokes. Rounding out the ladies’ leaderboard was Reese Robson from St. Louis, MO. Robson scored 86, 93 and 80 to finish with 259 strokes.
