From December. 27-28, 2023 the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the 2023 PGA National Junior Open. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of six divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, Boys U10 Division, Girls 14-18 Division and Girls U13 Division.
Taeyoung Lim from Suwon, Republic of Korea was the first-place finisher for the 2023 PGA National Junior Open. Lim brought in scores of 71 and 69 for a final score of 140 strokes, 4 under par. Jameson Corbin from Glasgow, KY was the runner-up for the Boys 16-18 division. Corbin finished with consistent scores of 71 for a final total of 142 strokes, 2 under par. Rounding out the top three honors was Hector Daniel Arriaga from Cuernavaca, Mexico. Arriaga finished with scores of 75 and 72 for a final total of 147 strokes.
Axel Klint from Stockholm, Sweden was the first-place finisher for the weekend. Klint finished with scores of 74 and 72 for a final total of 146 strokes. Andrew Tsar from Palm Beach Gardens, FL was the runner-up with scores of 74 and 73 for a final total of 147 strokes. Rounding out the top three honors was Connor Sloss from Vero Beach, FL. Sloss brought in scores of 75 and 77 for a final total of 152 strokes.
Fraser Walters from Aberlady, United Kingdom was the first-place finisher for the Boys 11-13 division. Walters brought in scores of 73 and 70 for a final total of 143 strokes, 1 under par. Alex Hasselbeck from Anchorage, KY was the runner-up with scores of 75 and 70 for a final total of 145 strokes. Rounding out the top three honors was Grant Guetig from Louisville, KY. Guetig finished with scores of 77 and 69 for a final total of 146 strokes.
Tomas Balakrishnan from Chester, United Kingdom was the first-place finisher for the Boys Under 10 division. Balakrishnan finished with scores of 89 and 76 for a final total of 146 strokes.
Mattea Issa from St. Andrew, Jamaica was the first-place finisher for the Girls 14-18 division. Issa brought in scores of 78 and 74 for a final total of 152 strokes. Olivia Hartman from Palm Beach Gardens, FL was the runner-up with scores of 80 and 77 for a final total of 157 strokes. Rounding out the top three honors in the Girls 14-18 division was Sophie Lim from Boston, MA. Lim finished with scores of 81 and 78 for a final total of 159 strokes.
Stella Walters from Aberlady, United Kingdom was the first-place finisher for the Girls Under 13 division. Walters brought in scores of 81 and 78 for a final total of 159 strokes. Harper Kiss from Lighthouse Point, FL was the runner-up with scores of 78 and 83 for a a final total of 161 strokes. Chloe Rounce from Nassau, Bahamas rounded out the top three honors with scores of 89 and 103 for a final total of 192.
