Major Championship at Forest Hills
The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour is excited for another Major Championship! The Major Championship at Forest Hills will be played on Saturday, August 2 and Sunday, August 3rd at the Forest Hills Golf Club in Augusta, GA. At all Major Championships, there are more Hurricane Cup Points available than other events, for points explanation CLICK HERE. Also special to Major Championships only, players may elect to use a caddie. You can play like a real life PGA player and have your caddie wearing a personalized caddie bib! The Major Championship at Forest Hills is open to all golfers between the ages of 11-18. At stake during this tournament are Junior Golf Scoreboard Rankings (JGS), AJGA Performance Stars if the respective field sizes are met within each age division, an automatic bid into the 2014 Tour Championship, South Carolina Junior Golf Association Heritage Points (SCJGA), Tarheel Youth Golf Association Points (TYGA), as well as the top 20 finishers from each division will receive points toward year end honors which include state teams, ALL HJGT teams, and Hurricane Cup Points. This is a two day 36-hole event. The first round will begin on Saturday, August 2nd with a double tee start running from 8:00-10:15AM. The second round, on Sunday, August 3rd, will begin with a double tee start at 8:00-10:00AM. The registration fee is $185 for members and $215 for non-members. Established in 1926, Georgia Regents University's Forest Hills Golf Club is a much loved staple within the golf community in Augusta, Georgia. This 18 hole golf course holds remarkable history from Bobby Jones beginning his 1930 Grand Slam of Golf at Forest Hills in the Southeastern Open to College golf events where future greats like Phil Mickelson (1989), Davis Love III, (1981, 1982) and others competed. The 18-hole golf course was originally designed by world renowned golf course architect Donald Ross and was redesigned by the Arnold Palmer Company in 2004. Continuing its long standing tradition of excellence, Forest Hills is repeatedly named “Best Public Golf Course” by Augusta Magazine and offers traditional Southern topography with level, rolling fairways surrounded by magnificent trees.

About us: The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2008 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of four age divisions: Boys 15-18, Boys 11-14, Girls 11-14 and Girls 15-18. Based out of Jacksonville, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the nation, with stops in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, Alabama, Ohio, Indiana, Virginia, New Jersey, Maryland, Mississippi, New York, and Pennsylvania.
