The Hurricane Collegiate Amateur Tour (HCAT) is excited to announce the release of the new website www.hurricaneam.org. The site will be very similar to the HJGT site, with news, pictures, statistics, schedules, results, and video updated daily. Be sure to read the articles on our news archive which will entail more thorough explanations of the 2013 schedule, new additions to the tour, and our payout system. The new website is very user friendly and has numerous new and exciting features. A little info about the HCAT: Tournament Fees: For starters this season there will be no membership fees to join the tour. Each event will cost only $235 for 54 holes of golf. Format All events will consist of 54 holes; 36 of which will be played on the first day. Players will ride in golf carts during tournament play. All start times will be approximately 8am. Who is eligible? The Hurricane Collegiate Amateur Tour is open to players between the ages of 18-23. This tour is ideal for HCAT alumni, collegiate players, 2013 grads, and any amateur player looking for competition at premier venues. Age Divisions and Yardages Men 18-23: 7,000 yards- 7,200 yards Women 18-23: 6,000 yards- 6,200 yards The course setup will mirror that of a college tournament. Tournament Payouts: Players are now eligible to receive tournament payouts as a new and exciting addition to the 2013 season. The top 3 in both the Men’s and Women’s Division will be awarded payouts as follows: 1st 350 “Bucks”

- Nike “Bucks” will be given as gift certificates, players will be allowed to use them toward a purchase of any Nike Golf apparel, clubs, balls, etc.
- Hurricane “Bucks” can be used to register for any future Hurricane Collegiate Amateur Tour (HCAT) event, there will be no deadline to use them.
- Golfsmith “Bucks” can be spent online at www.golfsmith.com

At each event all of the competitors will receive one dozen custom designed Bridgestone B330-S golf balls ($45 value). Each ball will have the Hurricane Collegiate Amateur Tour Logo on it. Board of Advisors 2013 will be the first year the HCAT has brought on the advisory board. The HCAT will be teaming up with some big name coaches across the nation to help guide the tour to bigger and better places. A few additions to the team are Clemson University Hall of Fame Coach Larry Penley, three time Atlantic Sun Conference Men’s Golf Coach of the year Scott Schroeder, and many more. More Events The first season of the tour brought forth 5 tournaments in Georgia, South Carolina, and of course Florida. This year, while remaining in those three states, the HCAT will more than double the number of events from the previous year with an expected 11 events for the 2013 season. Rankings This season the HCAT will have two of the most prestigious Amateur Golf ranking systems in the world. Events will be ranked by World Amateur Golf Rankings (WAGR) as well as Scratch Players World Amateur Rankings. Both systems are among the most prominent ranking systems in the world for Amateur Golfers and provide excellent exposure (click and scroll down to learn more about the rankings). During the tournament: During play each golfer will be provided with a golf cart, cold beverages, and snacks to stay fueled throughout the course of the event.
