The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) is proud to announce our unveiling of a special, brand new event in Celebration, FL! Due to overwhelming demand from the academies, we are introducing our 1st Annual Academy Cup! This event will be held at Celebration Golf Club, October 11-12. Each academy will bring 10 of their top competitors (7 boys and 3 girls) to perform in the 36 hole, individual stroke play event. Each academy team will count 8 of their top 10 scores each round. The lowest team total (16 scores) on Sunday will take home the 1st Annual Academy Cup! Don’t miss out on the opportunity to put your players to the test in this exciting competition, between the pride of the academies! This event is limited to the first 9 academies who sign up. At stake in this event are opportunities to earn Junior Golf Scoreboard Rankings (JGS), and AJGA Performance Stars and even Golfweek Rankings. First place finishers in each division receive an automatic bid to the 2014 Tour Championship, held on December 6th-7th in Orlando, FL. Top 10 finishers receive points towards year end honors, including state teams, ALL HJGT teams, and the Hurricane Cup. This event is a two-day, 36 hole event. The first round will kick off Saturday, October 11th with a double tee start running from 8:00AM to 10:00AM. The second round will begin Sunday, October 12th with a double tee start running from 8:00AM to 10:00AM. Registration fees are $299 per player, including a practice round, 36 holes of tournament golf, hot lunch after the round on both days, and prizes! At Celebration Golf Club it’s all about you! About us: The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2008 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of four age divisions: Boys 15-18, Boys 11-14, Girls 11-14 and Girls 15-18.
