Tien Do from Tampa, FL was the first-place finisher of Boys 14-15 division at the Tampa Bay Junior Open in early-March 2024. Do scored 72 in round one and 4-under par 68 in round two, giving him a combined total of 4-under par, 140 strokes. It was an incredible performance by one of the best junior golfers on our tour right now. In fact, Do has finished top-5 in all four HJGT events he’s competed in this year, with two wins and a runner-up finish.
We had the chance to catch up with Tien after his win in Tampa Bay.

– “Reflecting on my journey so far, one memory stands out vividly – sinking a 35-foot birdie putt in a playoff against Charlie Woods with Tiger himself there. The rush of adrenaline and the overwhelming sense of achievement are moments I’ll cherish forever.”
HOW DID IT FEEL TO GET YOUR MOST RECENT WIN ON THE TOUR?
– “Getting my most recent win on the tour was an incredible feeling. It validated all the hard work and dedication I’ve put into my game, and it was especially rewarding to see it pay off with a victory.”

– “When preparing for a tournament, I dedicate significant time to practice sessions, often incorporating practice rounds to fine-tune my game.
