PLAYER SPOTLIGHT: GANNON BROTHERS SHINE AT MADISON GREEN JUNIOR OPEN

The Madison Green Junior Open was an emotional event, especially for the Gannon family from Doylestown, Pennsylvania. The Gannon brothers – James and Fraser – took first place in Boys 11-13 and Boys U10 respectively. But what makes them so special? They both say they love golf and that they are known for believing in themselves and trying their best in everything they do. And what a way to prove it with their magnificent performance in Madison Green.

James Gannon: Excelling in the Boys 11-13 Division

For James, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour is not only a space to compete and enjoy this sport. When we asked about what he enjoys the most about the tours, he responded, “I enjoy being able to meet other golfers and make friends.”

The young athlete, only 12 years old, has been participating in our tour in more than 15 different tournaments. This victory has been very important for him and there is a mental being behind it. He prepared for the tournament by “Preparing my game both physically and mentally.”

Fraser Gannon: Exceptionally in the Boys U10 Division

Fraser, on the other hand, highlights, “I practice a lot. I work on my short game and work on my yardages.” When we asked about what he enjoys the most about the tours, he responded, “I enjoy how kind the hosts of the tour are.” Like his brother, he loves to jump onto the field not only to compete but to learn new things and make new friends. The Gannon brothers stand out for their kindness.

This is not the first time that James, only 10 years old, has obtained a victory. He also dominated his category last March in the Northern Virginia Spring Junior Open. In total, he has achieved 4 first places and 8 qualifying scores among the top 3.

Bright future for the Gannon’s

Both Gannon brothers stood out at Madison Green in their respective categories. Their kindness, talent, and determination make them shine on and off the course. That is why as James states when we asked about their career aspirations, he said that his dream is to be a professional golf and be my own pilot. Also Fraser Gannon explained to us that he would like to be a professional golfer or be a marine biologist.

What is clear is that sports will contribute to their continued growth, both as athletes and individuals.
