St. Augustine, FL – January 13, 2025 – The 2025 Hurricane Cup was a weekend of excitement, grit, and incredible golf! Hosted at the stunning World Golf Village – Slammer & Squire course, this exclusive invitational brought together 64 of the top junior golfers from across the country for an unforgettable North vs. South showdown.

With six divisions spanning ages 10 and under to 18, a total of 64 players showcased their skills over 36 holes of intense competition. The coveted team title went to the North Team, who delivered a commanding victory, securing the championship by 145 strokes over the South Team.

The Hurricane Cup Format

The annual Hurricane Cup is designed to test both individual and team excellence. Players compete in a 36-hole stroke-play format across two days, with the Top 10 scores from each team counting toward the overall team total. The combined scores determine the champion, while individual players vie for titles in their respective divisions.

This structure not only celebrates standout individual performances but also emphasizes the importance of teamwork, strategy, and consistency. This year’s result was an electrifying event that kept fans and players engaged until the final putt.

Incredible Moments on the Course

Throughout the weekend, the competition was fierce, and the course was challenging. Only Caleb Walsh (Center Valley, PA) and Noah Ochab (Bernardsville, NJ) carded the tournament’s lone under-par rounds, each posting rounds of 70 (-2).

The North Team demonstrated unparalleled consistency, building a substantial lead on Day 1 and maintaining their dominance through the final round.

While the event’s competitive spirit was undeniable, it also fostered camaraderie and sportsmanship among players. For many participants, the Hurricane Cup wasn’t just about winning—it was about the memories and friendships forged on the course.
