From April 20-21, 2024, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Maryland Spring Junior Open. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of five divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, Boys U10 Division, and the Girls 14-18 Division.
Lawson Leeper, hailing from York, PA, secured the top spot with a total of 156 strokes, claiming first place after rounds of 76 and 80. Liam Barganski from Owings Mills, MD, Eamon Cochran from Newtown Square, PA, and Michael Fairbank from McLean, VA, tied for second place with a total score of 159 strokes, each posting rounds of 79 and 80, 79 and 80, and 82 and 77 respectively.
Joseph Kelly, representing Wilmington, DE, took the lead with a total of 169 strokes, securing first place after rounds of 84 and 85. Casey Boyd from Easton, MD, secured second place with a total score of 172 strokes, posting rounds of 90 and 82. Harrison Tindall from Annapolis, MD, secured third place with a total of 174 strokes, after rounds of 87 and 87.
Christos Bottos, from Berwyn, PA, secured the lead with a total of 176 strokes, claiming first place after rounds of 89 and 87. Liam Rotatori from Stamford, CT, secured second place with a total score of 183 strokes, posting rounds of 92 and 91. Owen Ciesielka from West Chester, PA, secured third place with a total of 184 strokes, after rounds of 97 and 87.
Meredith Finger, from Wilmington, DE, dominated the leaderboard with a total of 151 strokes, securing first place after rounds of 74 and 77. Hannah Webb from Woolwich, NJ, secured second place with a total score of 171 strokes, posting rounds of 86 and 85. Kacy Day from Bel Air, MD, secured third place with a total of 175 strokes, after rounds of 84 and 91.
