From March 16-17, 2024, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour hosted the College Prep Series at Louisville. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format and with a field of six divisions, including the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, Boys U10 Division, Girls 14-18 Division and Girls U13 Division.
John Chapman from St. Louis, MO was the first-place finisher of the College Prep Series at Louisville after winning a tiebreaker shootout against Weston Hardy from Louisville, KY. Both scored 2-under par 142 strokes, with Chapman shooting 71 in both rounds while Hardy shot 73 and 69. Rounding out the top three honors was James Seymour from Grand Rapids, MI. Seymour scored 72 and 71, finishing with 1-under par 143 strokes, just one point behind the leaders.
Carter Denton from Frankfort, KY was the first-place finisher of the Boys 14-15 Division. Denton scored 75 and 78, giving him a combined total of 153 strokes. Brooks Englert from Chapel Hill, NC was the runner up, shooting 81 and 74 to finish with a score of 155 strokes. Evan Hack from Paducah, KY and Leighton Underhill from Louisville, KY were tied for third-place honors. Both scored 156 strokes, with Hack shooting 78 in both rounds while Underhill shot 85 and 71.
Cole Layow from Nicholasville, KY was the first-place finisher of the Boys 11-13 Division. Layow scored 82 and 87, giving him a combined total of 169 strokes. Calvin Dellinger from Monticello, IN was the runner up, shooting 94 and 91 to finish with 185 strokes.
Caleb Queen from Lexington, KY was the first-place finisher of the Boys U10 Division after winning a tiebreaker shootout against Sutton Stewart from Frankfort, KY. Both scored 183 strokes, with Queen shooting 91 and 92 while Stewart shot 87 and 96.
Eva Brown from St. Louis, MO was the first-place finisher of the Girls 14-18 Division. Brown scored 79 and 78, giving her a combined total of 157 strokes. Madison Yang from Rochester Hills, MI was the runner up. Yang shot 76 and 83, finishing with 159 strokes. Rounding out the top three honors was Justine Emond from St-Jerome, Canada. Emond scored 78 and 82, giving her a total score of 160 strokes.
Willa Borough from Lexington, KY was the first-place finisher of the Girls U13 Division. Borough scored 78 and 85, giving her a combined total of 163 strokes. Mary Clayton Rodgers from Frankfort, KY was the runner up. Rodgers shot 86 and 88, finishing with 174 strokes. Rounding out the leaderboard was Alexandra Scharfenberger from Louisville, KY. Scharfenberger scored 100 and 95, giving her a combined total of 195 strokes to finish the weekend.
