Eligibility for HJGT Boys 12-13 Division
Boys between the ages of 12 and 13 are eligible to participate in the HJGT Boys 12-13 division. A player’s age division is decided by his or her age during round two. A player is permitted to move up a division during the mid-season. For example, if a player is 13 and turns 14 during the middle of the season, he will play the remainder of the season in the age 14-15 division. Points do not roll over to another division. Players can earn points in two age divisions.

Kairi Matsumoto captured the Boys 12-13 title at the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour’s Tampa Spring Junior Open, finishing at 9-over-par (153) after rounds of 76 and 77 at Plantation Palms Golf Club.
Matsumoto delivered a consistent two-day performance, maintaining control across both rounds to secure a one-shot victory. His ability to stay steady in a tightly contested division proved to be the difference.
Jett Billy finished in solo second at 10-over-par (154), posting rounds of 78 and 76 and making a strong push in the final round. Gavin Martin claimed third at 23-over-par (167), followed by Mack Wong in fourth at 30-over-par (174).
Feodor Lutsenko and Marchelo DeGenova rounded out the field at 47-over and 51-over, respectively.
Played at Plantation Palms Golf Club, the course required disciplined execution and consistent play across both rounds. Matsumoto’s steady performance ultimately secured the victory in a competitive division.
