Orlando Fall Junior Open at Eagle Creek presented by GEICO
Orlando, FL — October 25–26, 2025
The Orlando Fall Junior Open at Eagle Creek presented by GEICO, hosted by the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour, delivered a thrilling weekend of high-caliber junior golf, international flair, and championship-level performances on one of Central Florida’s most demanding courses. Under clear skies and steady winds, Eagle Creek Golf Club tested every aspect of the players’ games, rewarding precision and mental toughness across all divisions.
Leading the storylines was Gabriel Cruz Charry of Bogotá, Colombia, whose brilliant two-round total of 3-under (70–70—140) earned him the overall boys’ title. Cruz Charry’s control off the tee and smooth putting stroke made him look unshakable on a course that punished mistakes. His poise under pressure helped him fend off a large and talented international field that included competitors from over a dozen countries.
Not far behind, Briel Royce of Orlando, Florida, delivered an equally impressive performance in the girls’ field, carding rounds of 71 and 73 to finish 2-under (144) — the only player in her division to break par. Royce’s consistency and course management separated her from the pack as she navigated the challenging par 4s with ease and showcased remarkable calm on the greens.
Throughout the weekend, Eagle Creek was alive with drama and competition. From young phenoms finding their stride to seasoned juniors honing their craft for college recruitment, the event reflected the growing strength and diversity of the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour. International contenders like Meyher Khokhar (Florida by way of India), Emma Ziniuk (Texas), and Jeremiah Smith (Florida) all turned in strong top finishes, while players from Germany, Spain, Jamaica, and China added a global tone to the leaderboard.
Rising stars also made their mark — Drew Brink of Winter Springs, Florida, turned heads with a dazzling 6-under (69–71—140) total to capture his division, while Raaghav Khera from Ontario, Canada, earned his victory with a poised +7 (153) finish. The tournament’s youngest champion, Elijah Lieber of Miami Beach, Florida, staged a spectacular comeback, firing a second-round 72 to secure a decisive win after a shaky opening day.
The weekend was a showcase of everything junior golf represents — grit, sportsmanship, and the pursuit of excellence. The fairways at Eagle Creek were lined with parents, coaches, and college scouts watching future stars rise to the occasion. When the final putts dropped on Sunday afternoon, one thing was certain: the Orlando Fall Junior Open once again lived up to its reputation as one of the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour’s premier fall events, blending world-class talent with unforgettable performances.
