West Lafayette, IN — The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour’s Fall College Prep Series at Purdue brought together a deep field of Midwest talent at the Birck Boilermaker Golf Club, and it was Tyler Dillingham of Edinburgh, IN who rose to the challenge. With two consistent rounds of 74 and 76, Dillingham finished at 150 (+6) to secure the Boys 16–18 championship.
The demanding Purdue layout tested players throughout the weekend, rewarding patience and precision. Dillingham’s opening 74 kept him in contention, and despite tricky conditions in the final round, his 76 was enough to hold off the field by two shots. His ability to limit mistakes and manage the course separated him from the pack when it mattered most.
Zach Matthys of South Bend, IN was the closest challenger, finishing runner-up at 152 (+8) after rounds of 74 and 78. Matthys stayed in striking distance throughout, but a handful of late bogeys on Sunday left him just short of the title. Luke Cofer of New Palestine, IN followed closely in third at 153 (+9), showcasing steady play across both rounds.
Brooks Cole of Louisville, KY finished fourth at 154 (+10), while Logan Carroll of Saint John, IN rounded out the top five at 158 (+14), thanks to a strong 77 in the final round. One of the most notable performances came from Aiden Boyd of Washington, IN, who bounced back from a difficult 89 on Saturday with an impressive even-par 72 on Sunday, vaulting himself into a tie for sixth at 161 alongside Jimmy Williams of Jackson, MO.
Beyond the leaders, the division also featured international representation, with Siwat Surakomol of Bangkok, Thailand, and regional talent from Indiana, Missouri, and Kentucky filling out the field. The variety of players underscored the depth and reach of the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour.
With his victory, Dillingham not only earned the Boys 16–18 crown but also demonstrated the poise and consistency needed to succeed at the next level, making him one to watch as the fall season continues.
