Hurricane Junior Golf Tour hosted the Braelinn Junior Open this past weekend, August 9-10, at Braelinn Golf Club. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of 6 divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15, Division, Boys 12-13 Division, Boys 10-11 Division, Girls 14-18 Division, and Girls U13 Division.
Matthew Runckel from Alpharetta, GA was the first-place finisher this weekend. Runckel carded rounds of 74 and 72 for a weekend total of 146. Reynolds Park from Marietta, GA finished in second place with scores of 75 and 72 for a weekend total of 147. Grayson Power from Newnan, GA finished in third place with scores of 78 and 71 for a weekend total of 149.
Hunter Devriendt from Greenwood, SC was the first-place finisher this weekend. Devriendt brought in scores of 76 and 78 for a weekend total of 154. Gage Scherr from Cataula, GA finished in second place with scores of 79 and 81 for a weekend total of 160. Alexander Halkos from Atlanta, GA finished in third place with scores of 76 and 88 for a weekend total of 164.
Luke Keefer from Monroe, GA was the first-place finisher this weekend. Keefer brought in scores of 78 and 86 for a combined total of 164 for the weekend. Josiah Hardee from Alpharetta, GA finished in second place with scores of 88 and 83 for a weekend total of 171.
Joshua Myles from Atlanta, GA was the first-place finisher this weekend. Myles brought in scores of 82 and 92 for a weekend total of 174. Decker Francisco from Lilburn, GA finished in second place with scores of 106 and 103 for a weekend total of 209.
Lisa Zhang from Alpharetta, GA was the first-place finisher this weekend. Zhang carded rounds of 76 and 80 for a weekend total of 156. Brynn Mason from Scaly Mountain, NC finished in second place with scores of 82 and 84 for a weekend total of 166. Elizabeth Ananthasane from Alpharetta, GA and Maeve Hatcher from Sautee, GA finished tied for third place. Ananthasane carded rounds of 83 and 91, while Hatcher carded rounds of 85 and 89, both finishing the weekend with a total of 174.
