Hurricane Junior Golf Tour hosted the College Prep Series at UVA this past weekend, July 29-30, at Birdwood Golf Course. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of 4 divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15, Division, Boys 12-13 Division, and Girls 14-18 Division.
Sam Eichas from Spencerport, NY claimed first place this weekend with rounds of 72 and 72, finishing with a total score of 144. Frank Morrice from Panama and Oliver Tanguay from Midlothian, VA finished tied for second place. Morrice carded rounds of 77 and 75, while Tanguay carded rounds of 73 and 79, both finishing the weekend with a total of 152.
Reed Chapman from Clarksdale, MS was the first-place finisher this weekend. Chapman brought in scores of 75 and 79 for a weekend total of 154. Shep Dunnington from Charlottesville, VA finished in second place with scores of 81 and 82 for a weekend total of 163. Bill Thomas from Oxford, MS finished in third place with scores of 86 and 82 for a weekend total of 168.
Mateo Urresti from Crozet, VA was the first-place finisher this weekend. Urresti brought in scores of 76 and 76 for a combined total of 152 for the weekend. Greyson Johnson from Earlysville, VA finished in second place with scores of 80 and 83 for a weekend total of 163.
Ainsley Ford from Standardsville, VA was the first-place finisher this weekend. Ford brought in scores of 87 and 84 for a weekend total of 171. Grace Trent from White Post, VA finished in second place with scores of 85 and 91 for a weekend total of 176.
